Lan Wangji watched intently wanting to know what would happen when his husband finally woke up. He hoped he was able to step up and be a good alpha to his husband. It was shameful to his pride that he had provided nothing for his husband.

Wei Wuxian woke up feeling warm and rested which put him on high alert immediately. He had too much work to do to rest more than an hour or two a night. Warmth was something that had alluded him since he had become a god of the underworld. It was an unfortunate side effect of working so close to death. The coldness just clings to every pore in his body. Its cold embrace trying constantly to drag him into a peaceful slumber. It refuses to release its grip on anyone who gets too close. Death was truly a lonely thing most of the time he could relate.

Lan Sizhui- Oh that's so sad. He is not lonely with us, I hope.

Lan Jingy- Chief Cultivator sir you were a death god too right? Is the thing about death                                             gods being constantly cold true?

Everyone waited for the response curiously. Wen Rouhan nodded in affirmation. "Why do you think my castle is on top of a volcano? It's obviously not for the pleasant smell of rotten eggs. " He watched amused as Lan Jingy continued writing down the information. "I'm more worried about my son only sleeping an hour a night. He might be a god but in this realm we are still held by human rules. We won't die but we will grow weaker until we fall into a coma-like state." He spoke deliberately so Lan Jingy could write the information down. Hey if the boy wanted knowledge who was he to deny his son's apprentice?

He slowly expanded his senses wanting to feel his surroundings before giving away that he was awake. Last he knew he had been walking to the library then nothing. "Could I have been kidnapped?..... Fuck!" That would be embarrassing. He would never be able to look at any of the gods in the eye ever again. What kind of immortal got kidnapped from their own home?

Baoshan- Take note this is what you should do when you wake up disoriented. This will help you                       understand your surroundings better as well as let you know if you are in danger.

The elders nodded while the younger made sure to remember the immortal's advice.

Focusing on his surroundings he could tell a few things. He was lying on a comfortable bed (good). He was under a very warm blanket, probably with a heating talisman (also good). He was being gently held in strong arms by someone with a soothing sandalwood scent (go-.........NOT GOOD!!!) His eyes sprung open making sure not to move any other muscle in his panic.

Wen Rouhan- Ha ha ha look at his face. Wangji I think you might make his brain explode.

He was met with a beautiful familiar face lying by his side.... his husband's face. It took Wei Wuxian a few minutes to calm down from his mind exploding. His husband was sharing his bed and was holding him it was an overwhelming concept. It felt like he was cared for. He was trying hard to get his body to not auto-combust. Lan Wangji was too close, making it hard to think straight. "L-L-Lan Z-Zhan, Lan Zhan what is happening? Please wake up I'm so confused." His voice whispered hysterically trying to not let anyone except Lan Wangji hear him.

Lan Wangji couldn't help but smile seeing how cute and shy his husband was. Quingheng-Jun was happy to see his son show so many emotions in one day. Baoshan smiled sadly knowing that moment was probably the most physical contact he had with anyone since way before he had become a god. He could pet the ghosts all he liked but they would never feel the same as a living being. No warmth, no density, No minute shift in textures.
