It was a few weeks later and everything was coming together just fine. Andy and Jacob were doting on Faith and I was setting up a lot of the party games and making sure everyone was happy. My parents were there and a lot of parents from the daycare with their kids who Faith was friends with.
They were all running around the backyard with fairy wings and were playing.
I was finally taking a break and was talking with a few of the moms.
"Faith is such an amazing little girl, I cant believe you and Andy took it on and being pregnant." The one Mother, Holly said.
"Yeah well in all honesty we didn't know we were pregnant when we made the decision to adopt her. All of it kind of happened together. We got confirmation she was going to be our and then I found out I was pregnant." I explained.
"So you didn't second guess her adoption once you found out?" Brittany, another mother asked.
"Nope. There was never a second guess. Andy and I love Faith and so does Jake, we wouldn't have our family any other way." I said with a smile.
"Well I must say you look absolutely glowing and you are putting all of us to shame with this party. It's amazing." Holly said and I laughed.
"Well I had help in Andy and Jacob but I also had Jacobs girlfriend Sarah here to help." I smiled.
I looked at the door of the kitchen and Andy was motioning for me. "Excuse me." I said walking away and going inside to see him bringing in the pizza boxes from the delivery guy.
"We need to wrangle kids to eat but I was hoping you would do your worrying husband a solid and sit down for a few minutes? You have been up since 7am getting everything ready and havent sat down much." Andy explained and I groaned.
"I will relax when everyone goes home and this party is over." I said and he sighed but nodded. I went to take a few pizza boxes.
"I got them." Andy said and I didn't listen taken like 3 boxes of pizza.
"Food is here everyone!" I announced and placed the pizza boxes down explaining what every box was.
I sat down to eat and Faith sat in my lap.
"Having a good time?" I asked her and she nodded shoving pizza into her mouth. Faith wiggled on my lap and accidentally pushed her elbow into my stomach.
"Ow, easy baby girl." I said and she looked at me with a slight scowl.
"Well the baby is in the way." She mumbled. Andy looked at Faith.
"Hey, don't act like that. This may be your party but I will send you to your room." Andy whispered to her. She just kept her scowl on her face but didn't say anything else and went back to eating.
Soon the food was done so we moved on to presents. As Faith was opening presents, she seemed to lose the small attitude she got while we were eating. Jacob was helping her with her presents, and everyone was having a good time. I was sitting on a bench leaning back into Andy and he was rubbing my stomach.
"You feel okay from her elbow earlier?" Andy asked and I sighed.
"Yeah, I mean it hurt but I know it was an accident." I said.
"This one is from." Jacob said handing Faith her present. She ripped off the wrapping and found a framed picture that was hand drawn. It was Faith as a fairy. She squealed and hugged Jacob.
"Mama Mel...Daddy Andy look!" She exclaimed running over to us and we looked at the picture. I took it so Andy could see it since he was rubbing my stomach. Faith noticed and watched.
