"Now, of course, it's a possibility, but it's never been done before, so--" Violet exclaimed, still confused by the predicament.
Suddenly, Charm interrupted her partner, "Of course it's possible." She began. Everyone silenced, even Violet, and looked to the ninetales in need of an answer. Reina glanced around nervously, unsure of what was to come.
"The answer is simple," Charm began, looking directly into Reina's eyes. Reina paused--why was she looking at her of all 'mons?
"From here on out, Haven is no longer a part of Team Glamour." Pearl gasped, but Kit only sighed. Reina felt Haven shift beside her awkwardly, and Erin looked to Reina as if for guidance on what was going on.
"She will now be a part of Team Safety Rangers, and there will be not one leader, but rather every 'mon shall have a role in leadership." Charm determined, and Reina and Erin simultaneously gaped at the declaration. Haven seemed just as perplexed.
"That's never been done before, though, wouldn't it be worrisome to--" Violet began, though her voice faltered when met with the sudden crashing noise sounding outside.
Every 'mon looked around, confused by the noise. Even more concerning was the whirling sound starting outside of their window, weaving its way into the Guild as the glass window shattered from the impact of a boulder flying into it.
Everyone screamed. Reina was frozen, unable to think.
What was going on?
Why had the boulder crashed into the window?
Why did it fall in the first place?
Was she going to die?
Reina felt her instincts take over, ushering the 'mons beside her outside the Leader's room. She didn't hear as they called after her, particularly the voices of Violet and Charm telling her to stay inside. She didn't even notice as Erin and Haven ran behind her, fiercely following the eevee as she darted outside.
The town was already a mess. Buildings were strewn about in pieces, only their foundations remaining. The Guild had been hit by multiple boulders, lodged into the side of the building on a rocky cliff. Trees had fallen and crashed into buildings, dirt, and grass uprooted, and the sidewalks a mess. What remained of the town were crying citizens, pleading for help.
Soon enough, the sight before Reina disappeared from thought as she recognized the two 'mons on either side of her, Erin and Haven. They looked at her worriedly, as if for guidance. Reina took that as a sign to give direction.
"Help as many citizens as you can, bring them back to the Guild's lowest floor for safety." Reina yowled, elevating her voice enough to be heard over the destructive winds that occupied their town. They both nodded, and Reina darted forward with the two 'mons following close behind.
"Split up!" Reina exclaimed, to which they did. She didn't have a single thought in her head other than to get these 'mons to safety.
The sound of chaos around her didn't even occupy her mind for a second, dead set on the marill and azumarill she spotted hiding inside the duskull bank. Inside the bank with them was dusclops, whose expression held an emotion other than neutrality for once.
She now stood in front of the scared 'mons, glancing around at her surroundings to find the best way for them to make it back to the Guild.
In the foliage, Reina spotted a pathway safe from debris or buildings that could fall. Redirecting her attention back to the marill, azumarill, and dusclops, she spoke.
"I need you to go to the Guild, now, it's safe there on the lowest floor," Reina commanded. The dusclops understood and vanished, presumably on its way to the Guild. However, the marill and azumarill remained, too paralyzed to get to safety. Reina started panting hard from the stress, trying to think of an alternative to get these reluctant 'mons to a stable place.
"I can't m-move..." The marill cried, clinging to the azumarill. Reina just stared, still attempting to find an alternative. Then an idea hit her.
"I know you're scared, but it'll be alright--you just need to follow me. I'll take you back to the Guild, where you and your... friend, will be safe." Reina instructed, trying to soothe the petrified marill. This seemed to calm him down, even if just a little, and he nodded.
"Let's go, brother." The azumarill cried, holding onto his brother's paw. Reina immediately started running but at just the right pace to where the 'mons behind her wouldn't get behind.
Reina jumped over broken branches that crowded the sidewalk, as well as the uplifted stones from the pavement that were amiss. Her paws stung from the debris she climbed over, but she couldn't give up. Looking back, she spotted the marill and azumarill following close behind and sighed with relief. Just beyond them, though, she once again saw the destroyed buildings and homes in the town. She cringed at the chaos, just beginning to realize how much her new home was hurting.
"We're almost there!" Reina called out, loud enough for the marill and azumarill to hear her with the strong wind blowing at their ears. As she looked back again to check on the 'mons, though, her eyes widened at the sight in front of her. There was a large log blocking their way, and Reina could only see the ears of the azumarill poking behind the log to know that they were still there.
Backtracking her steps, Reina jumped on top of the log and reached out a paw for the 'mons to grab. Her ears blew with the wild winds, and she looked past the 'mons only to see the tornado edging closer. Her eyes widened with panic, and she reached her paw out even further as if begging for them to take it.
"WE HAVE TO GO!" Reina yelled as loud as she could, combatting the noise caused by the tornado. Just then, azumarill grabbed her paw and was lifted immediately. Reina had to utilize her strength right now, or otherwise, they may very well meet their deaths.
Looking over to her left after hearing a crash, Reina spotted a flying green and purple bird. It appeared to spawn winds with it wherever it went, the tornado closest to where it was. She moved her attention back to the situation at paw when she remembered the danger they were in.
"GET MARILL OVER HERE, PLEASE!" Reina begged the azumarill, and they nodded. While still standing on the log, azumarill reached out a paw to marill, who nervously took it. Reina promptly pulled on azumarill, successfully lifting the smaller 'mon up and over the log. They stumbled back, falling onto the ground. Reina swore she heard something crack, but she couldn't focus on that right now. There were other matters to attend to.
Making their last leap to the Guild, Reina, marill, and azumarill ran inside and swiftly climbed down the stairs, escaping the tornado. She didn't know if it was her, the other 'mons, or all of them, but panting filled the air.
Reina lost her grip on the ladder and abruptly fell to the ground, hitting one of her legs roughly against the ground. She heard scrambling around her, and voices she swore she recognized.
Looking up, she saw blue blurs to her left where the stairs resided. On her right were two familiar faces, though she couldn't tell exactly who they were. And picking her up and carrying her off somewhere was a large pale yellow pelted mon with a large tail, and a green and cream blur following after them.
She didn't know what was happening
And soon enough, she fell asleep.
