Naruto met with Team 7 as they caught Tora and returned him only to be called into the Hoshikage's Office.

Naruto: Oh come on old man! Give us better missions than pet rescue or chores.

Hiruzen: You are all Genin so it's only natural that I give you easy tasks until you've gained more experience.

Naruto: Come on. We're ready.

Iruka: How dare you Naruto. The Hoshikage is our village's leader and he's trying to...

Hiruzen: So do you really want to take on C-Rank mission?

Iruka: Hoshikage-Sama. He didn't mean it. They're not ready.

Hiruzen: Just now that if you decide to take a C-Rank mission there is no going back. You'll be forced to take C-Rank and above mission from then on. These missions can escalate to B-Rank or greater sometimes.

Naruto: Bring it on.

Sakura- There no way we'll gain experience from doing D-Rank missions.

Hiruzen: They've decided to take on a C-Rank Mission. The Confidence Block is lifted.

Kakashi: Whether a Genin Squad can take on C-Rank mission is determined by the confidence of the Genin. So if 1 member of the squad insists and the others don't object then a C-Rank will be assigned as soon as possible. Usually a Genin Squad takes at least 4 months before insisting. It's only been 1 month for us.

Naruto- Wait did I actually mess up really badly?

Hiruzen: Let the bridge builder in.

Tazuna enters the room drunk.

Tazuna: Huh? I didn't ask for some damn brats. I asked for ninja.

Kakashi: I can assure you that this team is more than capable of doing this escort mission.

Tazuna: Seriously? You've got 1 that looks like a dunce. 1 that's not even paying attention and this weak looking little girl.

Sakura gets irritated at this but keeps her composure.

Sakura- I mustn't let him get to me. As a new age in I must prove my competence.

Naruto: Listen here old man. Sasuke may be a dunce and I might not be paying attention but Sakura-Chan is not weak!

Sakura: Naruto...

Sasuke: Who are you calling a dunce? You dunce.

Tazuna: I was calling you a dunce not the black haired kid.

Naruto: Huh? You bastard!

Kakashi: We'll commence the mission tomorrow so everyone get ready.

Everyone dashes away.

Team 7 met up at the gates.

Naruto- This is the first time I've ever left the village...

Naruto: Alright! Let's do this.

Kakashi grabs Naruto's collar.

Kakashi: Slow down there Naruto.

Sasuke: You're not the squad leader you dunce. Kakashi is the one who decides when we leave.
