DEFCON Year New Generation: Leigh Barton

On the next evening, Leigh was examining some files she seized when she found out some interesting connections with the other prisoners, all of whom were captured by Darnell, LaRue, Dunning, Tores and Marquez on the previous night. The female US Intelligence Marine now knew the captured persons involved in the conspiracy against the American delegation also unsuccessfully conspired to have Joe Biden not reelected during the first year of World War III.

Leigh also discovered all of the prisoners were high-ranking Chinese officials vying to have President Wally Barnes impeached for his ambition to keep American bases around the world in the post-World War III context. The Chinese authorities wanted Joe Biden to be removed, without success due to the string of American victories allowing the latter's reelection in November 2024 as President of the United States in the early days of World War III. Leigh understood China wanted payback for what they called a personal offense and wanted to take revenge on President Wally Barnes and his administration.

The more Leigh red the confiscated documents, the more she understood how delusional Chinese authorities and people actually were. Leigh's team also discovered the Chinese authorities had also staged the attacks on their own delegation to justify surveillance on members of the American delegation and try to find a reason to expel the American delegation officials from China, as well as the USSS and DSS agents protecting these officials. But she also found the name of a man calling himself "The Voice" and he was Leigh's next target.

After seven hours working tirelessly, Leigh and her team went to the briefing room with all of the intelligence they had gathered during their night raid against six simultaneous targets, all of whom were Chinese officials.

"Alright, Marines. Here's the thing. We got new information about last night. We just found out the men who we targeted last night were actually Chinese officials. We now know China tried to interfere with US Democracy in 2024." Leigh announced.

As the US Marines in the room whispered in shock, Darnell tapped the board, getting the Marines' attention back to Leigh.

"Thank you, Darn. As I said, China tried to interfere with US elections in 2024, which as you know, Joe Biden won thanks to our string of victories back then as well as the promise to win World War III. We now know that the Chinese also want to sabotage the 2032 election regarding President Wally Barnes because both Presidents Biden and Barnes are Democrats. But back to the topic at hand.

We found out there was a man named "The Voice" involved in the attacks. He wants to compromise Joe Biden's legacy of a prosperous America, which is being continued by President Barnes as we speek. We need to find out who he is and who his overseers are. That's why we have to put all Chinese officials on our surveillance list. Any question?" Leigh briefed the US Marines.

As none of the US Marines answered, Leigh told everyone to prepare listening devices and hacking software programs to gather more intelligence, knowing they had hard evidence about a conspiracy against President Barnes and his administration, which meant a conspiracy against the US as a free, democratic and prosperous contry.
