Just a few weeks after the last civilians had left China, the last remnants of the military personel involved in the NEO were reduced to a mere skeleton force of a few dozens of troops, among whom Leigh, Darnell, LaRue, Dunning, Marquez and Tores, alongside special operations troops from the other contributing nations, all of which had managed to bring any foreigner and expat back to several American bases before further evacuating said civilians to airports via other flights of A-400M, C-130H Hercules and C-130J Super Hercules cargo planes from European and Asian countries in addition to American cargo planes.

Meanwhile at the China airport, Darnell, LaRue, Dunning, Marquez and Tores were still overwatching the surroundings of the perimeter while many other Allied military personel were boarding the C-17s and C-2s all alone since they no longer had any heavy equipment, which had been airlifted from China to American bases in the Southeast Asia Sea, or the Luzon Sea for short.

As Leigh was keeping an eye onto the surrounding streets from the rooftop she and the rest of her team were on, she spotted a suspicious-acting motorcycle rider. As she shouldered her M4A1 carbine, she could see the man was riding for the nearest checkpoint. Leigh then fired her rifle, hitting the man in the hip before he triggered the explosives he was hiding under his shirt.

The explosion woke the whole neighborhood up, proving Leigh was right about the perimeter getting smaller and smaller, thus making any chance of getting overrun by any angry mob even higher, despite the now-departed vanguard elements having set up concertina wires and pre-sighted the surroundings of the airport for FPV drone and missile strikes.

After gunning down the bomberman, Leigh relaxed before focusing onto her task of overseeing the evacuation of the last elements of the troops still on the perimeter. She and her team indeed promised to ensure they were the last ones to leave China since they were the first ones to have set foot there. This meant they were going to finish the job started a few weeks ago.
