On the following week, which was the second week of the NEO, Leigh and her team were working with the other troops involved in the operation, knowing they had two presidents for all of the American people, including the military, who took care of the civilians as well.
Leigh knew it was a president's job to keep people out of harm's way and that's what President Barnes was doing, even if President Biden did send troops to fight in World War III, he did this to finish the job. But far away from this political game, Leigh was now overseeing another busload of evacuees arriving at the gates of the airport before the vehicles and their drivers were thoroughly searched by force protection troops who then searched the passengers and their bags before letting the buses come in one after another.
Through her binoculars, Leigh saw another convoy of evacuees protected by French and German special operations soldiers armed to the teeth with HK416 rifles. The special operatives also carried captured AK rifles on their back due to having shot dead many hostiles on their way to the evacuees' previous location, which was then besieged by said extremists.
Knowing the French and German troops were good and competent troops, Leigh turned her gaze away from the convoy and saw two men armed with AK rifles and one with an RPG preparing to shoot the rearmost vehicle of the evacuation convoy, only to be killed by three German snipers.
Leigh then kept surveilling the surroundings of the place, knowing urban warfare was very dangerous and haphazard due to the three-dimensional nature of the fight. Hence the fact Leigh, her team and many other troops were standing on the rooftops of the airport to watch over every evacuees and protect them the best said troops could.
Leigh also saw several other evacuation convoys stopping at the gates of the airport through her binoculars before turning her attention towards the surroundings of the airport to look for any hostile individual trying to put the civilians' life in danger. Darnell, who was watching through his binoculars at another part of the surroundings, also knew they had to finish the job, just like so many Americans in World War III did after Joe Biden got reelected for a second term in the White House to enable said victory against evil dictators to happen.
