Inseparable

Jack said he's going to come down with Alicia and Archie as he needs some time away from Flora after some rough patches and he wants me to meet my nephew and niece. Leah said she wanted to meet my brother as we both were uncertain how long he'd genuinely stay in contact for. I mean now she's my girlfriend I can finally introduce her as my girlfriend and not some girl I found on a dating app that I downloaded after a crazy night out with Amerie.

Leah was in my apartment and we were watching arsenal men play West Ham. Leah's passion for the game was something that made me weak, she was incredibly passionate for a game that her full mood would depend on it. That made me laugh, I get it your team loses but why would you make it effect how you feel, her love for the game clearly meant  a lot. The fans have seen her break down on the pitch after losing something and they've seen her shed happy tears. I never really understood football, I never really found a sport that made me feel happy when I was younger. I enjoyed cricket in PE, but nothing else I guess it was only because I was successful at hitting the ball further than any of the other girls.

She shouts at the TV as one of the arsenal players goes down, I had no interest in it really but I loved watching Leah watch the tv. There was something about it that made my blood boil inside of me and made some ecstasy fill my veins, along with some nostalgia of watching Izzy watch a Sunderland match when we were kids. I hear a knock and get up to answer the door, I hear the tv volume adjust and look over seeing Leah put it on mute. I smile at her gratefully and open the door. There he was my brother. And his two kids.
"Hiya jack" I say and pull him into a hug. He had to lean down as he was 6ft, he got the good genes, I'm tiny compared to him and it's so unfair.

"Hi" he says and hugs me tight. We walk into my living room. "Jack this is my girlfriend Leah, le this is jack" I say to introduce them. "Nice to meet you" Leah says
"And you" he says
"This is your nephew Archie and your niece Alicia" he says to me referring to the two kids that sat next to him.

"They are adorable jack" I state
"Well" he says
I go into my bedroom and grab a massive box of toys. This box was some nostalgic shit from my childhood, it was all the things that if I ever felt depressed or saddened by a death in the hospice I'd usually stare at the box and as sad as that sounds it made me happy, it reminded me that although I had a shit childhood, not all of it was shit. I still had things that I could use to fulfil my little 3 year old mind. Archie reaches for a Barbie that had chopped hair because I dreamed to be a hairdresser and want ed to prove to my parents that I'd make an amazing one after cutting my dolls hair.

Alicia reaches for a slightly smaller toy, a car. I smile at them and Leah asks "so what do you do for a job?"
"I'm an accountant" he answers
"I was training to be an accountant" she says
"You were?" I ask
"Yeah, but then football sorta came along so I put it on hold" she says
"Have you seen mam on the way down?" I ask Jack
"Nah, I'll see her as a stop off on the way home" he says
"Yeah, she will be happy to see you J" I say
"I know but, we. Me and mam we've never got along we have differences Mila." He says
"I know" I say

We talk for a bit longer and I make some tea for us all, a stir fry. And I did some mash with cheese for Alicia.

We all eat and then jack says goodbye to us. "Bye jack" I say
"Bye Mila. And nice to meet you Leah" he says. They leave and I smile.

we go into my apartment and me and Leah just talk.

"Erm, I know this may sound a bit weird" she says. I look at her and smile "okay, what is it?" I ask
"I swear I saw him in a newspaper at some point" she says
"What do you mean le?" I ask
"I was at my grandmas and I feel like his face was in it" she says
"Okay" I say and laugh lightly. "Amelia, it wasn't for a good reason" she says
"And his name isn't jack anymore" she adds
