The new problem in the form of a two random boys who were just stood in front of him, staring at his bloody outfit like he was a weird looking creature who they'd never really seen before and September couldn't help but just stare right back at them.
He was unsure of what to do, he felt scared of these two boys even if they were the same age or at least that's what September could guess.
He was scared of what they might say or do to him, scared that they might call him names and hurt him but also scared that they would send him back to that lab.
So he just stood there and stared, standing stiff with his eyes darting around as panic began to set in as he grew even more anxious then he already was in this new environment since he'd never been in Hawkins except inside the Lab.
September wanted to say something, anything really, but no words came to mind as the rain started pouring over them heavier and heavier, but he didn't feel the urge to escape the cold, wet, drops of water from rain.
He was panicking too much to focus on anything else but the boys faces who both looked at him as if he was some kind of freak to be stared at for being in a hospital gown of all things.
"Do you-" September started but stopped shortly after, he couldn't possibly ask them to find his father so he just blinked and looked down as his pale feet in the leaves instead as water droplets from the pouring rain landed on them, pale and almost frozen looking from being exposed to the cold temperature.
The awkward silence between the three of them as they just stood there, rain pouring even heavier down on them but neither of the boys appeared to care for it.
September couldn't speak and the boys just stared with unreadable expressions, as if they themselves weren't sure what to make of him or the current situation.
It wasn't until one of the boys broke the silence, his voice holding a hint of surprise mixed with something else that was unreadable.
"What the hell are you wearing?" the boy questioned, his face now reflecting deep confusion but still held that hint of something else that September couldn't quite pinpoint.
September couldn't help but feel a tinge of embarrassment at the guy's comments, the comment stung in a way that September felt irritated at, but he knew better than to lash out without a proper meaning behind it.
"I don't.. have anything else.." September admitted slowly as he watched the teenager who spoke, he took in how his hair was soaked and was a little longer than September's and the green jumper the guy wore with the blue jeans.
The boy seemed to be taken aback by September's response, his confusion growing as he spoke again, his voice still filled with surprise, "Why do you not have anything else?"
"I wasn't allowed to have anything else" September stated as he looked over at the guy's freckled friend and then moved his eyes back to the one speaking.
The green jumper boy's confusion only continued to grow at September's response and his concern was now becoming more visible, so the guy questioned further, "Why weren't you 'allowed' to have anything else?"
"It was just this ..or a grey jumper and joggers" September said quietly as his ears focused more on the rain, not wanting to listen to both guys heartbeats any longer.
Green Jumper's frustration was starting to show as September explained, "So, they forced you to wear these weird clothes?" he questioned, trying his best to understand the situation in front of him.
September just nodded simply making Green Jumper grow angry at the injustice over September's situation, it felt like something similar to his own life but he couldn't figure out how or what.
It was clear that September was a victim of some sort of injustice with being forced to only wear either the gown or the grey outfit all the time.
"That's not right, it's just not right man", Green Jumper muttered more to himself in anger as September just remained silent and he watched the two teenagers and listened to the rain.
Green Jumper was continuing to express his anger and frustration at the injustices inflicted upon September, his voice laced with a sense of injustice on September's behalf.
"They can't just force you to wear whatever they want whenever they want. That ain't right" Steve muttered angrily until his friend chimed in with his own thoughts on the matter.
"Damn, he looks like he's been trapped in one of those fucking bunkers somewhere for most of his life or something, man" Freckles' voice chimed in, his tone tinged with skepticism and disbelief which only added to Steve's already brewing anger.
