"Three years" September says quietly, more to himself then the two boys who were both caught off guard by September's blunt response.

Freckle's skepticism and disbelief seemed to fade slightly, replaced with a mix of surprise and confusion as he retorted, "Three years. Damn that's got to have been hell-" Freckles stated and stopped when he saw September shiver.

It wasn't that he was cold- well, maybe, but the rain was starting to feel like too much with what he was currently wearing, Green Jumper couldn't help but feel a growing sense of compassion and care for the boy in front of him, but he tries his best to hide it.

It was clear that September had endured far more than anyone should have had to go through, a three-year stay in some kind of weird bunker.

Green Jumper's anger started to fade and began to give way to a more compassionate and protective nature as he continued to speak making his voice soften slightly, "Hey, man, you can't stay out here in this rain like that. Let's get you somewhere dry before you catch, uh, pneumonia or something, alright?"

"What's p- pneu-monia?" September asked quietly, it sounded familiar but he couldn't remember where from.

The two guys were taken aback by September's lack of knowledge about pneumonia, and they exchanged a look between them before Green Jumper responded, "Pneumonia is a Uh, it's a lung infection caused by.. bacteria or a virus. It makes it um, hard to breathe properly" He stated seeming unsure if he was even correct and his voice laced with concern for September's health.

"Oh" September said simply with a nod as he took in the information as Green Jumper nodded in acknowledgment, noticing September's need to process the information.

Green Jumper then spoke again, "Listen, we need to find somewhere dry and warm for you to rest and recover. You can't stay out in this weather like this, man" He added, emphasizing the need to take action as his hands went to his hips.

"I don't have anywhere to go" September admitted.

It wasn't a lie or the full truth, he could go find his father- but he didn't know yet if he even wanted to which left him with nowhere to go.

Steve's compassion deepened as September revealed he didn't have anywhere to go, he understood the need to find shelter and rest for this boy now, "Hey, don't worry about that. You can crash at my house for the night and we can figure out what to do, alright? You're not alone in this" He offered with a reassuring smile, Freckles nodding in agreement beside him.

"Okay.." September said a bit weary but Green Jumper's warm expression turned into a genuine smile, relieved that September had accepted his offer.

"Great, buddy. That's settled then. Now, Let's head over to my place. We can get you something dry to wear, and you can rest up there while we figure out what to do next, cool?" Green Jumper proposed, his voice tinged with warmth and concern.

September nodded and moved over to them slowly as they noticed September's slow movements and moved closer to him, each taking one of his arms to help stabilize him and provide support if he needed it.

"Hey, take it easy, bud. We got you" Freckles chimed in softly, his voice laced with an unusual hint of compassion.

With their support, the two guys carefully walked alongside September as they began the journey towards the house while the rain continued to pour, but a sense of comfort surrounded them as they navigated through the wet Hawkins streets, the raindrops pattering against the ground in a steady rhythm that September kept his focus on.

The trio continued their way to the house, their footsteps leaving imprints on the wet pavement, and their spirits lifted as they knew they'd soon reach the sanctuary of warmth and shelter so September could be warm and safe.

As they approached the driveway of a large house, Green Jumper spoke up softly, "We're nearly there, bud. Just a few more steps, and you'll be inside where it's dry and warm".

His voice held a reassuring tone as Freckles rushed off to his own house leaving just Green Jumper and September alone now.
