[Rayne's POV]

Looking around, there was nothing but a white sheet of paper on the wall. There wasn't even a pencil, how else am I supposed to draw? I looked over at Finn who had his arms around his stomach.

"Brother, I'm hungry." I looked around the room.

"There's no food," I replied, "can you hold your hunger for a bit longer?" He nodded.

"If only we had a dumb wand!" I thought. I walked towards the piece of paper and tore off a piece. "Here eat this, it's the only food that's here." He took the paper and stuffed it into his mouth. The door suddenly opened.

"Tsk, here I am another day at work." The manager said he sounded very ticked off. "Now let's get these children outta here." He grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the room.

"Hey! Let go of me!" I turned to look at Finn, terrified. "At least take my brother with me! He can't survive out there alone!" He stopped, walked back and grabbed Finn. He threw us out into the freezing cold and shut the door behind. I sighed, Finn was shivering. I tugged his hand.

"C'mon we have to get going." He stood up and followed me.

"Brother. Where are we going?"

"I don't know, but we have to find shelter." We walked onto the street, the rain was pouring now. I looked for the nearest shelter, I found an abandoned cardboard box, I grabbed Finn's arm and pulled him towards the box. I placed it over our heads, though there was still water leaking in, it was better than nothing.

"Brother, I'm cold." Finn muttered, I looked around. There was a dumpster in front of us, I stood up and walked over. I pulled out an old dusty blanket and wrapped it around him. He hugged it, and soon he fell asleep. I snuggled next to him, Trying to fall asleep as well, but suddenly the cardboard box toppled over. That startled Finn, I grabbed his arm and started running.

"Oh my, a child double liner on the streets?" I stopped, looked up. "Is this your little brother?" He pointed to Finn. I know this man looked familiar, but I didn't know who he was. "Would you like to study at Easton?" My eyes lit up, Easton was one of the best magic academies in the world.

"Yeah." He smiled.

"Nice to meet you, I'm the headmaster of Easton, Whalberg." Immediately I knew who he was. "What's your name?"

"Rayne......... Ames."

"Very well, you guys will be under my care."

A few years later.......

"We will now announce the Divine Visionary for this year!" The woman said she took out her paper. "RAYNE AMES!" I walked up to the stage, I looked around. Everyone was clapping, in those people stood Finn. His eyes sparkled. I turned away and looked at the woman. "Congratulations! Starting from today you'll be one of the chosen ones." I nodded, and took the cloak.

"Thank you all for coming," I said, "I'll protect all of you from Innocent Zero." I bowed and left the stage. In front of me stood Whalberg.

"You've worked hard, Rayne." I smiled.

"And it's all thanks to you."

"Now that you're a Divine Visionary, meet the others." I looked behind me, a double liner with glasses, a guy carrying a big sword. A woman carrying a book, and a guy with long blond hair tied into a ponytail.

"Him?" The guy with glasses asked, "He's this year's Divine Visionary?" Whalberg nodded.

"Watch your attitude, Orter." Whalberg replied, he turned back to me. "Sorry, this is Orter Madl." I nodded.

"Ryoh Grantz!" The blond hair guy said, walking up to me. "The strongest magic user!"

"Sophina Biblia," the other replied.

"Rayne Ames." I replied.

"I heard your younger brother is a freshman? I bet he also has your talent!" Ryou said. I turned away.

"He doesn't have anything," all the Divine Visionaries looked at me.

"Oh is that so?" The guy with the sword said, except......... He was pouring the whole jar of honey onto his Sashimi. "Oh, did I forget to introduce myself? I'm Kaldo Gehenna." He said munching on his Sashimi. I was disgusted.

"Is......... that your taste in food?" I asked, pointing to the honey covered Sashimi.

"Hm? Yeah, it's good, try it." He handed me the fork.

"Alright," I said, I tried it, trying not to be mean.

"Don't." Ryoh answered, "your gonna-" but the Sashimi was already in my mouth, I immediately threw up, I covered my mouth.

"Ha, It tastes.......... Wonderful." I replied, trying to smile.

"What'd I say? You poisoned him, Kaldo." Ryoh said as he sighed.

"Is it that bad?" Kaldo asked, looking at his food.

"No no......." I vomited, "pardon me, I have to use the washroom." I hurried off.

I washed my face with cold water and examined myself in the mirror, the stall behind me opened, and Finn's face popped out.

"Brother!" He exclaimed, "congratulations on Divine Visionary!" I paused, I didn't look at him. I walked out of the washroom and out to the main hall.
