[Rayne's POV]

I almost fell asleep due to the never ending papers or documents I had to sign. My vision blurred and soon I was dozing off, but I soon awoke to the loud bang just outside my door. I stood up and walked over, I put my hand on the handle and opened it.

"Who is this-" But someone grabbed my neck before I could finish.

"YOU!" A man with grey hair shouted. "WHY DIDN'T YOU SAVE MY DAUGHTER!?" I gathered enough energy to speak.

"Sir..... There are many lives.......... That one cannot be saved." I replied. I grabbed his hand which was on my throat and pulled it off, his face was extremely red, and his eyes were teary. "May I ask, who is your daughter?" Soon he started shedding tears.

"Violet Anderson." I suddenly remembered, like someone just placed that part of my memory in my brain.

There's nothing to do when you become Divine Visionary except strolling through the city and looking out for the common citizens and protecting the weak. I heard faint crying, so I walked over to the noise. A young girl was sitting in the corner, her face covered with her hands. I wasn't good with comforting people, especially children. I took a deep breath and walked over.

"Hello I'm Rayne, what's your name?" She paused.

"Well what is it?" I asked, my tone a bit harsher. She flinched and I immediately apologized.

"Violet, Coco died, will you help me bury him?" She managed to say.

"Ah, that must be why she was crying." I thought, I nodded in agreement. She stood up and led the way, we stopped in front of a pile of dirt. Beside the dirt was a dog, possibly dead. She placed the dog in the hole beside the dirt and filled it in. She turned towards me.

"Say, do you think he would go to heaven?"

"I'm sure it will." She smiled, she took some flowers out of her small bag and placed it in front of the grave. Then she clapped her hands together and wished. She then opened her eyes after a while.

"Alright, I'm done. Thanks for helping me."

"But I didn't even do anything-" A loud bang interrupted me. A splat of blood landed on my face, I turned towards Violet. A puddle of blood was spreading beneath her. "Violet!" I yelled holding her. I searched for the possible cause of her death, but there was no one. I turned back to Violet who was struggling to survive. "Hold on Violet! I'll get you to a hospital!" She managed to open her small eyes.

"Thank....... You." Her hand dropped.

"Violet!" She didn't reply. I placed my ear next to her heart, I wasn't pumping. "VIOLET!"

[Present]

He dropped to his knees and started crying. I bent down and held his hand.

"I am sorry for your daughter's death Mr. Anderson." I remembered something, "wait here." I walked back to my desk and pulled out my drawer, I took out a hairpin. I sighed and handed it over to him. But he just burst into more tears.

"Violet........... My precious daughter."
