[Rayne's POV]

The sounds of bird chittering awoke me from my slumber, Kaldo was on my desk eating his honey-covered sashimi.

"Oh, you're awake." He said. "You have a very kind younger brother." I sat up from the bed.

"Huh?"

"Oh, I forgot. You didn't know, yesterday when you got off from work you collapsed on the way to your dorm. Thankfully Finn was there, he caught you."

"Is that so? Then I better thank him the next time I see him." Kaldo stopped chewing.

"You know, Finn has a good potential for magic. But, I think he should study more healing magic." I paused.

"What'd you mean?"

"I was spying on him for a few days, but he doesn't seem to be good at normal attack magic, but he aced his potion test about healing magic."

"... I'll go ask him personally." I paused, "he might be helpful when Innocent Zero comes." I opened the door and was about to walk out until Kaldo said something.

"Wait! Tell him I'll take him as an apprentice." I turned around, my face full of disbelief.

"Why would you take him? He has no talent."

"I'll carve him little by little until he becomes perfect." I nodded. I walked out the room, I stopped, I just realized I know nothing about him. I sighed, "I've really been a bad brother haven't I?" I muttered.

"No you're not." I looked up.

"Mash Burnedead?" I said, "what are you doing here?"

"I'm looking for Madam Meliadoul, and I happened to see you here." He looked at me, "speaking of, I'm lost. Can you tell me where she is?"

"She's on the bottom floor." He nodded and walked away, then stopped.

"Finn's in his potion making class," he said. "You can wait for him at the front door. And with that he walked away.

"Potion making class." I muttered. "Alright." I walked down a few floors and stopped in front of the potion making class. I checked the time, 2;25. He has five minutes left. I waited and waited, until the door opened and piled out. Everyone looked at me as they walked out, the red haired guy walked out and flinched when he saw me.

"Finn! Your brothers here!" There was a sound of someone pushing in his chair, then Finn's head popped out.

"Rayne, do you need something?" He asked.

"I have to talk to you privately." Finn looked at the red haired guy, he nodded then he left.

"What is it?" He asked.

"Kaldo wants to take you as his apprentice, he said he'll teach you some magic."
