Anna's POV

Three days passed.
Three god damn days.
When I finally regained consciousness, I found out that they had caught Katsuki.
Without All Might, of course.

And All Might and the others had freed him! Without Vlad and me, because we were billeted in some damned temporary camp.
And I also didn't know how Vlad was doing since my last conversation with Twice.
All in all, we were still stuck here and I was worried that our last days were near.
I was taken out at irregular intervals, but I was more of a pawn than a person.
They put my head under water to get information, spat on my food, tried the specialties on me and threw me back in my room.
I longed for Hawk's arms.
He hadn't shown his face since last time either and I wondered why.
Why him. Why me.
Why can't we just go.
To our normal lives.

I felt sick and held my stomach.
I'd had my last meal two days ago. Twice had regularly prepared the food herself. But it tasted awful and I knew he wasn't trying to poison us, he was really trying to cook.
'Lovable again, actually'.
I looked for my bottle of water, which I finally found under the ragged sofa, and took a big gulp.
My thoughts were jumbled and it always shocked me that I developed sympathies.

For people who were villains.
For people who had big and violent plans and wanted to inflict suffering.
Chaos and death.
And now I sympathized with a villain and supposed murderer who prepared my food?

I took another sip.

Head under water.

It had always soothed my nausea before and this time it helped too.

Burn marks.

I gulped down the water eagerly.

Laughing.

My throat hurt.

Slapping.

Head under water.

'Hawks.'

Head under water.

Head under water.

Head under water-

'It had to end.

Another two days passed and I waited for my death sentence.
The food became less and less, and the taste made me drink even less.
If not eating, then drinking. And there was enough of that.

It must have been evening because the little dots of light that usually shone through the badly taped up windows with their heavy curtains were no longer visible.
I reached through my hair and tried to tie it in a knot to give me some freedom.
It worked, albeit a little tricky.
Then I reached for my water bottle to take the last sip of water and stood up.
They left me starving and where Vlad was, I didn't know.
What I did know was that if I was going to die, I was going to take the last of my strength and make it a little more...opulent.
I couldn't help but grin.

That sealed it and I decided to go.
It was going to end today.

Damn and how it should.
