Sia saw the intense moment being wholesome as each students from either school started walking towards the ones they were familiar with.
Sia, too, walked towards the one she knew and wanted to meet in person with; Tessa.
Tessa had smooth, pale skin and nearly white blonde hair, which wasn't tied into a ponytail anymore, as it was during the match and now hung loosely around her head, with a few curls framing her brown eyes. Sia found it hard to believe that the girl standing before her was the same one who had played so intensely, her body covered in sweat during the match.
Tessa played as the point guard of her team- Saint's, while Sia was the point guard of Unison's. Sia saw Tessa give a smile as a hint of remembering her.
As Sia neared to Tessa she noticed Eva was having a fun conversation with Reena. Then she glanced back at Tessa and said,"don't you dare say, you don't remember me"
Tessa nodded with a smile,"i won't dare forget you" she paused and then tilted her head to the right and said,"you were the only one till then who gave me a challenge"
Sia's cheeks turned pink, she didn't expect she would blush because pf a girl, she turned her head not to show her smile. Her hands came to the back of her head and she turned again to face Tessa, and said, with a small laugh still on her face,"glad to hear that, you were great, too"
They started going into each detail and complaints they had to say about the match. They both started to giggle and chuckle and laugh during the conversation.
Sia noticed Cassie sitting alone on a wooden bench, because she didn't know any of them, since she didn't participate in the tournament. Sia decided to take Tessa towards Cassie and introduce her to Cassie.
Their approach toward Cassie was interrupted midway when they spotted a boy with neatly trimmed, fine yellow hair walking up to her. He settled beside Cassie, catching her attention with a warm smile..
Tessa stopped right after Sia, she noticed his uniform, it was Saints'. She looked at Tessa. Her stare had a questioning to it, as of who was he.
"That's Finn" Tessa answered to her stare,"He would be the one fine boy among all the boys in my class" she was still looking at them as she answered Sia, then she turned to her to hear about Cassie.
Sia turned to Tessa,"She's my best friend since high school" she paused, then smiled, her eyes had a sparkle in it while she said,"Her name's Cassie. She's the best girl I've ever met after Eva"
Sia saw Zane, and his football-mates from Saints, standing a few distance away from Cassie. Sia assumed Finn may have asked him before approaching Cassie.
Though Cassie wasn't good at talking to strangers, she was doing great with Finn. Sia felt relaxed seeing Cassie happy and smiling.
Not only the students but the teachers too, were mingling with the other school's teachers. Mr. Anderson and the Saint's teachers were like old friends catching up at a reunion, laughing heartily every few seconds.
A blaring sound came from the ship as the teachers got together and one of them said, raising her voice,"Alright students, rest of the talking shall take place inside the ship as it is time to board the ship."
Students who sat started standing up and the ones that stood began to move. Only then did Sia noticed the ship clearly; a white mini cruiser ship with more than enough space for a hundred people, if her deduction from the view outside was correct.
They all moved towards the ship, still chattering on their way. The wooden bridge became crowded with the students. The teachers were behind them.
Then the captain walked out of the ship with a few crew he had who worked in the ship to help whoever board the ship with whatever they could.
"Welcome aboard, my little friends and teachers" the captain said with a big smile in his face.
Sia assumed, the captain would be atleast over the age of fifty. He had a large moustache and beard, both white as feathers and wore a dark blue hat which bore a symbol of a large wave about to hit an island, the symbol was inside a circle.
As Sia was two steps behind to getting on the ship she heard a loud voice call from behind. "Don't get on!"
Sia turned around to see a man sprinting towards them. He wore a round, brown hat which fell down when Mr Anderson and a male teacher from Saints High stopped him from going ahead by grabbing his arms.
The man kept repeating the same words,"Don't get on". He tried shaking off their hold, but couldn't. "it's for your own good" he said, his stare fixed at the students. Sia could feel how serious he was, not joking at all.
Sia noted the man was worried, not for him but for them.
