Miles POV
I woke up at my annoying alarm as always. I yawned tiredly as I walked to my bathroom to do my morning routine.
Thank god, it is a weekend.
Afterward, I worked out in my room. Then, I punched hits on my punching bag if it was needed for today's event.
I panted as if it felt like I was getting punched like there was no tomorrow. I have to be on my A game. I can't slip today.
Today is too important for Uncle Aaron.
Especially for my mom. I can't forget the things she has done for us.
She has sacrificed so much for us to be where I am now.
I couldn't imagine for this day to be a failure towards my mom and my papa. He was a big tribute to our family and served the greatest part of what we had together. I also couldn't afford to let my emotions get in the way. I'm not that sensitive, but when it comes to personal stuff... I get sensitive. I had to stay focused. No distractions.
I hit my last punch and sat on my bed in exhaustion. Since I had gotten sweaty, I went to my drawer and took out a black shirt, boxers, and sweatpants. Then, I went to my bathroom and turned the shower on.
After fifteen minutes, I wrapped a towel around my hips. I put hair products in my hair to become healthy after it dries. I changed into my comfortable clothes and did a little skincare routine.
Just because I take care of my skin, it doesn't make me gay. I had gotten enough comments out of Carlos about it.
I left the bathroom and went downstairs to have breakfast. I smelt the deliciousness of eggs and bacon.
"Good morning, mijo. How was your sleep?" She asks me with gentle sweetness in her voice.
"It was okay, not the best," I reply to her as I take my seat at the table.
"Have some breakfast to calm you down," My mom reassures me as she takes her seat across from me.
"Thank you, ma," I tell her as I have my breakfast.
Suddenly, Uncle Aaron, who came from work, appears in front of the main door.
"Hey guys, how were your mornings?" He asks us as he joins us for breakfast.
"It was nice. How was work?" My mom inquires.
"Same as usual, I just want to be a millionaire someday." He takes a bite of his bacon off his plate.
"You say as if you're the only one," My mom chuckles at his comment.
We silently have our breakfast and we finish our meals. I wash all of the dishes and go back up to my room.

After hours of endlessly doing nothing, Uncle Aaron told me to get ready. I switched out my normal clothes into my prowler suit.
It was already nighttime filled with city lights.
"Miles, you ready?" Uncle Aaron came to my room.
"What do you think?" I pointed to my suit with all my weapons in handy in my backpack.
"Let's go." He told me, and I went after him.
We sneakily jump through building to building. Otherwise, going into the hospital doors will look suspicious. Uncle Aaron's agent was specifically sharp on her orders from Uncle Aaron.
To disable the electricity power. That would also mean that all of the electricity power of the whole city would power off as well.
"Just get this over with, and no one will get hurt," I muttered to myself.
Shortly after, we arrived at the hospital. Uncle Aaron gave a gesture to his agent, who was in the black van, to turn off the electricity power.
On cue, all of the electricity power turned off, and so did the other city lights. Now, it was pitch black.
We dismantled the hospital windows and crept into the hospital. Without a sound, we walked around the halls to find the medical care and kits.
Immediately, we found them and stashed them in a box. After stuffing them into the box, we wrapped it up. We walked past the nurses and doctors who were scamming across the floors, trying to figure out what happened with the electricity power.
"Damn, dramatic much?" Uncle Aaron whispered quietly.
I chuckled at his comment, and we sneaked past the guards.
I kept my guard as usual to make sure we didn't get caught. The idea of getting captured and put into jail was not my sort of hobby. The hospital walls were clean and sanitized all over. I could smell the amount of sanitation. It was nearly clogging up my senses and losing my concentration to the mission. I couldn't afford to lose another thing I wanted to make right.
We retraced our steps and made it our way out of the hospital. Suddenly, a boom exploded near the hospital. I looked back to see that a fire had started in the emergency room.
"What was that?" I yelled at Uncle Aaron with anger.
"That was for the hospital failing to save my brother." He said in a cold voice and took the box of medications off my hands, leaving me in the middle of the road alone.
I couldn't just leave those nurses and doctors to die and suffer. I rushed to the hospital doors and zoomed to the area that got caught on fire. Immediately, the walls of the hospital started to crumble because of the heat of the fire starting to spread.
I had to do something.
I looked to see numerous patients outside the halls coughing horrendously of the smell of the fire. Other patients started to leave the building. Nurses and doctors were running and rushing to save the patients that were in the rooms that were contagious to the poisonous reddish-orange glowing fire.
I grew the confidence to put aside my emotions and I helped the injured patients out of the building in ten minutes.
More of the crumbled pieced started to fall on its own. I had to act quickly than I thought I would. I increased my pace and helped hundreds of other patients out of the building. It took not a lot of time, but hard work to get them to safety.
Then, I saw a familiar figure dangling off the roof of the hospital.
Ramona.
