Arriving at where the business meets, I entered a dimly lit room, filled with a tense atmosphere as members of the criminal organization my father owned
slowly take their seats around the table. The faces of the members were all obscured by the shadows of the room, and I had to force my eyes to morph into a golden color, the same as a cat's, to be able to see. At the head of the table sits my father, Hade, wearing a whole different aura. I sit close by."Let us get down to business," my father addresses the men and women in the room, his voice booming.
The room falls quiet while all the eyes of the members turn to my father.
"First order of business," my father said, rolling his eyes, "Rumors have been going around that I don't have an heir to the organization. Some of you are doubting my leadership, questioning my ability to maintain control." He hissed
Murmurs of dissent ripple through the room, and I glance around, trying to see what each of them look like.
"You're trying to take my leadership role away from me, and I don't like that." My father glared at every one of them, "so here is my daughter"
I sat up quickly and Harley growls at all of them.
"My daughter is here to prove that this organization is mine, and anyone who takes it will pay the price."
The room erupts into murmurs and whispers as the members exchange skeptical glances around me.
"You cunts all just need to leave my father alone" I explain with a roll of my eyes.
A few members exchange skeptical glances, but most remain silent, their doubts lingering in the air.
"Any objections?" My father asks
Silence hangs heavy in the room as the members glance around nervously, none daring to challenge my father's authority in the presence of me, their possible new boss who already threatened them.
"How would we pay the price? Your daughter is like half the size of most of us, and she's 18." Someone says
"I'm not a weakling darling." I smiled wickedly, "I can do this"
I turned into a lion and glared at him, stalking over to the man who offended me. I bit his arm and moved my head side to side at his screams. I let go of him before his arm fell off.
"No objections? Good. Let's move on to the next item on the agenda." My father chuckles.
As the meeting continues, I sit there, watching everyone to make sure they don't do anything stupid around my father.
For the next few weeks, I hung out around Patrick and Sophia a lot, going to BrewDog often. I helped Patrick with his emotions and loss a LOT. He needed help, and I didn't mind giving it to him. He slowly started getting better with my help. Waking up today, I was excited to go to BrewDog. I knew that Patrick would be there for sure, and he had been in a better mood recently. I put on a black crop top, with a dark green flannel. My light blue pants were long enough to go under my heel, even with my platform Doc Martins. I put my shorter chain on, and walked out of the flat, leaving Harley there. Stargirl interlude finished playing the second I walked into BrewDog. I took out my AirPods and ran over, hugging Sophia, who I had became closer with over text. We talked to each other for a moment before I went and sat down, ordering a cappuccino. I looked around anxiously for Patrick, but I had no idea where he was. It was Saturday so it was a little busier. When I saw him walk out of the staff room, my heart did a little nervous jump. He wasn't wearing his iconic long sleeve shirt anymore, because they had the heater on. Even I had taken off my flannel. He was wearing earrings now, and it was really nice. His makeup stayed the same, but his pants seemed to be a lighter blue now, matching mine. Sophia whispered something to him and his head turned to face me, his eyes lighting up in a way I had never seen before on him. He started making his way towards me, luckily not getting stopped by any people wanting to order. I stood up. It felt like I had known him for so much longer than I did. When he approached me, his arms opened slightly, as if knowing that I was about to jump into his arms. I run towards him and wrap my arms around him tightly, while he sets his head on top of mine.
"How are you feeling?" I whispered, pulling away slightly.
"Better now that you're here," he smiled, "if that's not weird you know?" He started rambling out of embarrassment so I just pulled him into a hug again. I felt all the tenseness in his body melt away instantly. This time he pulled away, "If you're not busy...I get off early today, around lunchtime, if you want to go get lunch or something. As friends"
He said the last part a little quietly which made me chuckle. His eyes went wide and I realized the chuckle might've sounded bad. "Of course I want to, that sounds really fun." I reassured.
He let out a breath of air and let go of me, "I'll see you at 12:30 then?" He asked.
"I'll be here the whole time." I smiled, beaming.
