This isn't the first time I saw blood. Not the first time someone has been poisoned. It happened more than once in the novel, and we acted it flawlessly.

But this is not a part of the novel. It is real.

And I don't know what to do.

Literal na tumigil ako sa paghinga. Sobrang bilis ng pagtibok ng puso ko at parang kinakadkad ang lalamunan ko.

Daph . . . ne?

"SIS SERA, RUN!"

Her words snapped me back to reality. Humugot ako ng malalim na hininga nang marinig ko ang boses niya, pero hindi kaagad ako makagalaw.

Dahan-dahan akong napailing. Pinipilit kong igalaw ang paa ko para humakbang papalapit sa kaniya pero para itong pinako sa lapag. I can't move, I couldn't. My eyes are getting blurry.

I need to help Daphne. I need to do something-

"Ate Sera, you need to go!" Isang paghawak sa pulso ko ang nagpagalaw sa 'kin.

Ang nag-aalalang mukha ni Wren ang sumalubong sa 'kin. Kapwa ko ay namumutla, pinagpapawisan.

"They shouldn't see you here! You'll be in trouble!" he said.

"Go, now! We'll handle this!" Aeryn who also rushed towards Daphne said.

I glanced at them once again. I saw Cedric whose worried expression was visible give me a reassuring look and Daphne gave me a weak smile.

I bit my lower lip, still having second thoughts until Daphne spoke again.

"C-Come on . . . I'm a priestess. You don't have t-to worry, ate Sera," pabulong na sabi niya.

Nagtubig ang mga mata ko at pilit na tumango. Without wasting any more time, I rushed outside the room. I'm still biting my lower lip, trying to stop myself from crying.

Even on the verge of a dangerous situation, Daphne is still thinking of me. They're still thinking of me.

A villainess in the same room as the female character who got poisoned will eventually lead to her demise.  I need to be out of there, or I will cause more trouble.

This is too much. Everything is starting to get real. I know who did that, we all do. She's already making her move, the queen.

I need to-

"Stop right there!"

Isang malakas na sigaw sa pasilyo ang nagpataas ng mga balahibo ko sa katawan. Kahit karirinig ko lang ng boses niya ngayong gabi, kabisadong-kabisado ko na kaagad ito.

I looked back to see a familiar figure. It gave me a familiar feeling, which I'm not fond of. 

With guards behind her, including Sir Bastian, the main antagonist stands in front of me, meters away. 

She gracefully raised her right eyebrow and tilted her head. "Why are you running in the hallway, Lady Seravina?" Her voice is sharp, it alone is piercing me. She covered her mouth with two of her fingers, eyes squinting. "You're acting suspicious."

What a timing. You're already showing your skills, Queen Hera.

"A-Ah, your Majesty," I greeted and bowed, heart beating fast. "My apologies, I didn't know you were here."
