I'm biting my thumbnails as we walk outside the space. Following me is Cedric. As soon as we stepped outside first, I faced him.

"Hey, we should kill that guy," salubong ko sa kaniya.

He answered me with his usual expression, a wince of disgust. "No."

"Come on. We will still continue with the plan, and off him with the queen."

Cedric is shaking his head while wincing. "No, what the heck, Daph?"

I gritted my teeth. "You want him away too! Do you want him to continue making a move to Sis Sera?!" giit ko. That's when Ced faltered.

"Tsk. Still ,no. Kaya nga natin gagawin ang napagplanuhan para makaalis na siya, 'wag kang mag-isip nang kung ano." He answered me, making me click my tongue. "And how many times do I have to tell you? Killing is not the only option when things doesn't go to your way. Alam mo ang laging sagot ko sa sinasabi mo."

I rolled my eyes. Here he goes again.

"Whatever."

He answered me with silence as I looked away. "By the way . . . how are you?"

Natigilan ako at bumalik ang tingin ko sa kaniya. His face softened, which made me ick. For some reason, nagsitaasan ang mga balahibo ko sa katawan.

I looked at him, full of disgust. "What? Are you worried? Or waiting to see if I'm dying? Too bad, I'm not. I'm good."

Nagaya sa ekspresyon ko ang mukha niya, puno rin ng pandidiri sa sagot ko. "The fuck? I regret asking," naiiling niyang sagot. "Still, you'll be on bed rest for three days."

"HUH?-"

"I'm not accepting any refusal. That's an order from the prince."

I scoffed. I want to punch this guy.

"You don't want ate Sera to be worried, right?" His next sentence made me stop starting an argument. "There's still a week before the festival. After you're fully healed, we'll start the plan." He looked at me again with a serious expression. "Kaya 'wag ng matigas ang ulo, Daph."

"Tsk." I rolled my eyes.

The door behind him opened again, followed by Aeryn and the others. Agad na hinanap ng mga mata ko si ate Sera. Pero imbis na siya ang mauna, ang lalaking may takip ang mukha ang sumalubong sa 'kin.

Nawala kaagad ang maliwanag na ekspresyon ko nang magtama ang mga tingin namin. His red eyes rivaled to mine that are blue. But still, mine is closer to ate Sera who has gray eyes.

Hmp . . . he has white hair tho. Almost like Sis Sera's eyes. Oh. My eyes might be closer to her, but his has the same shade of her hair.

Naggitgit ang mga ngipin ko sa inis. Mas lamang siya sa 'kin!

He smiled at me with his eyes, for some reason, it felt like he's mocking me.

"Hello, lady priestess."

Tumaas ang kanang kilay ko. Huh? Lady what?

His eyes opened. He looked down at me. Again, for some reason, I felt uneasy.

"The main character."

My forehead furrowed. He said it in a calm voice, but I don't like the tone of it. It feels sarcastic, it feels like he's bitter.

The nerve of this reader.

Hindi ako nagpatinag, tinignan ko siya paangat, bilog na bilog ang mga mata.

"Woi." My voice is husky, deep, very opposite of my natural one. "Do you have a problem with me, NPC?"

A random who appeared out of nowhere. A nobody trying to get close to our Sis Sera. A spawn. A freaking NPC.

He looked at me for a couple of seconds, before smiling again with his eyes.

"Nothing. You're just . . . quite different from what I've imagined in the novel." He chuckled, I didn't.

Ah.

I really want to kill this guy.

Before I could open my mouth again to answer, someone covered it. Without looking back, I already know it is.

This fucker-

Nagbago ang nakagusot kong mukha nang makita ang taong susunod na lalabas. Tumaas ang dalawa kong kilay at agad na tinanggal ang maduming kamay ni Cedric sa bibig ko.

"Sis Sera!" I called her.

Her face lightened when she spotted me. Hindi ako nagdalawang isip na itulak- iusog ang lalaking nasa harapan ko

Move, NPC!

I rushed towards her. "Sis Sera, are you okay? Did the queen do anything to you? Did the knights touch you?" sunod-sunod na tanong ko. I didn't manage to ask those questions earlier because I was too focused on the random NPC.

She smiled and gently touched my cheeks, making me smile as well.

"No, dear. I'm fine. Focus on getting better, okay?"

I think I'm already better.

"Are you staying on your douchy? Do you want me to go with-"

"Daph, aren't you going to be on bed rest for 3 days?" Pagputol ng boses ni Ced. I want to look back at him, curse him if I must, but I can't.

Not now. Sis Sera had enough. I don't want to stress her more.

She caressed my cheeks. "After you get some rest,  you can go to the duchy, hm?"

I can feel my cheeks burning up.

"A-Are you okay, Daphne?" Sis Sera's worried face snapped me back.

I immediately nodded. "Y-Yeah, yes, yes." I smiled. "Definit-"

"How about me? Can I stay to your douchy for a while?"

My face paused, still smiling. From my red cheeks, because of happiness, turned into anger. Parang puputok ang ugat ko sa leeg nang marinig ang boses ng kupal na NPC na sumingit sa 'kin.

"Oh, sur-"

"You can stay here," sagot ni Cedric. 

Before I could answer in Sis Sera's stead, he already did. 

"I'll prepare a room for you as a guest," dagdag niya.

I smirked, side glancing the NPC. 

Serves you right, you idiot. You're getting ahead of yourself.

Nakangiti kong inikot ang kamay ko sa braso ni ate Sera at marahan siyang hinila sa paglakad. "Let's go, sis Sera, I'll accompany you." I chuckled.

She was stunned. "A-Aren't you supposed to rest?"

"I will, I promise. After I make sure you got home." I smiled, walking with her.

Dinaanan namin ang mga walang kwentang lalaking nakaabang sa pintuan. As I walk with Sis Sera, I glanced at them who are watching us, sticking my tongue out and pulled my eye lid followed by a smirk.

So long, losers.
