This is Lana's outfit for the chapter :)
The rest of the summer flew by. Art and Lana kept in touch but both were far too busy with training and tournaments to get together and hangout. Patrick and Tashi were officially dating and things seemed to be going well between them. Things were still tense with Lana and Tashi ever since the Junior US Open, and they only ever saw each other at practices. Before they knew it, school was about to start and it was move in day already. Lana, Tashi and Art were all going to Stanford together while Patrick had decided to skip college and go pro straight away.
"Well if it isn't my favourite person," said a familiar voice behind Lana as she unloaded boxes from the back of her car. A wide smile appeared on Lana's face, knowing who the voice belonged to without even turning around.
"Art! Hey, how have you been? I've missed you," said a flustered Lana, blushing profusely as the blonde boy pulled her into a large embrace.
"Missed you too. Good to see you in person again, Patrick's been a pain in the ass as always but apart from that I've been pretty good. What about you, anything new?" replied Art, breathing in Lana's scent before letting her go.
"Nothing much, a little nervous about meeting my new roomate though. Tashi's not staying on campus so I got assigned one. I hope she likes me," said Lana, biting on her bottom lip anxiously. Deep down she had to admit that she was slightly relieved that she wasn't sharing a room with Tashi due to how awkward it had been recently.
"You're literally the sweetest person in the world, she'll love you," assured Art, giving her a smile, "Do you want some help with your stuff? I already finished unloading my boxes."
"If that's not too much of a bother then that'd be great. I may have overpacked a little," said Lana, slightly embarrassed by the amount of boxes at her feet.
The pair grabbed the rest of Lana's stuff and headed towards her dorm. As they walked and continued chatting about their summer, Lana couldn't help but stare at Art. He was sporting a backwards Stanford cap and the way his arms flexed while carrying her stuff was making her drool. Catching herself, Lana quickly looked away, trying to hide the redness flooding her cheeks. However, unbeknownst to her, Art was sneaking looks at her too. She had gotten more tan since the last time he saw her and with her hair pulled back, Art admired the light freckles that dotted across her nose.
When they finally got up to Lana's dorm, their arms were sore and couldn't be happier to put down all the various boxes filled with clothes, books, and other necessities. There was already a blonde girl in the room and Lana assumed it was her new roomate.
"Alright well, as much as I would like to stay I've got to met up with our new coach to discuss some things about the upcoming school season. I'll give you a call when I'm done so we can get dinner at the dining hall later," said Art, desperately wanting to spend more time with Lana.
