(Ashley's Pov.)
I woke from my nap and the smell of food filled my nose. Good food. I remembered that Zoe said she had a surprise tonight so i pulled myself from the bed and walked over to my vanity to fix my hair and make-up. A few minutes later i heard a slight knock on my door, "Come in" i called out as Alfie entered my room. I smiled , and stood to give him a hug.
"You excited for the surprise?" He asked excitedly. I nodded, he must know. We talked for a bit, catching up, then we heard my mom call from downstairs letting us know it was time to eat. We raced down the stairs and saw everyone together around the dinner table and the amount of food was insane, but i wasn't complaining.
As we all took our seat i saw Zoe grab her lover's hand and they smiled. I was the only one at this table without a match, and that actually made me happy.
I was about to reach for seconds when i heard Alfie clear his throat and everyone's attention was on the pair. "As you all know we have an announcement, and it may be a bit obvious now but that's not stopping us no-" Zoe cut him off "Im pregnant!" she practically screamed. The whole table fell silent, and then my mom started crying tears of joy. I had no reaction other than to smile. I didn't know what to think. I got up and hugged my sister for the first time in so long, i was so happy for her.
A few hours had one by and it was time for Zoe and Alfie to leave. Goodbye's were said and hugs were given, and i stared out the window and watched their headlights slowly leave the driveway.
Walking up to my room and pulling on some pajamas i snuggled into bed and started browsing on my phone. Clicking on Instagram i saw a pregnancy announcement from my sister a few updates from my friend, and a post from Natalia of her and a blonde boy. "Hit my Zero. Best Day Ever!" was the caption. I smiled telling myself i would text her tomorrow. Then i saw a post from another friend, but the picture was not of him but this tall dark haired boy. I felt a heat rise inside of me. He was really attractive. So i followed him and made a mental note to message him tomorrow as well.
Placing my phone on the bedside table i closed my eyes and drifted into a deep sleep with dreams of my future flashing through my mind.
