(Ella's Pov.)

I hear my phone ding waking me from my slumber. Turning around i notice the time. It's 11:30! I've never slept in this late.
Rolling off the bed i hope to my closet to pick out an outfit for the day. Then deciding to just stay in my pajamas because today wasn't going to be eventful anyway.

Thats when i remembered the entire reason i woe up. My phone. I crossed the room again reaching for my phone, which was placed on my bedside table. Seeing several notifications but there was one specific one that caught my eye. Several texts from an unidentified number.

"Hello love"

"I was wondering if you were free today.?"

"Oh... This is Luke btw.."

I smiled and laughed to myself at his awkwardness. I had given him my number almost a week ago and it took him this long to finally text. I was actually starting to have doubts.

"Yeah im free, i actually just got up. What did you have in mind?"

"Oh im sorry, i didn't mean to wake you. But i wanted to make it a surprise. So just get dressed, not fancy or anything, and i'll pick you up in a few hours?"

I responded with an okay and texted him my address quickly before dashing over to my closet for the second time that morning. Shuffling through my closet i decided on a chunky white sweater. I had no idea what to wear with it so i ran around my room wrecking everything until i settled for some dark red jeans.

Rushing into he shower the warm water helped wake my still tired body, and i washed u as quickly as possible. Wrapping the towel around my wet body i started taming my hair, drying it, and meshing all of it into a very neat bun. Then drying off more thoroughly and pulling on my clothing. Crossing the hall once again to pick accessories, my eyes landed on a cross necklace from my grandmother, then chose a pair of white heels to dress the outfit up a bit.

Looking at my phone i saw a text from Luke "On my way beautiful", and i panicked. Grabbing my knapsack i tossed in my camera, headphones and a small make-up bag just in case. Hopping down the stairs i sat on the couch finally taking a breath and calming down. That is until i heard the doorbell ring.

Wiping my sweaty hands on my jeans and grabbing my bag i slowly walked to the door. I opened it too see a tall lanky boy dressed in a red flannel and black skinny jeans, with a dark leather jacket to shield him from the slowly dropping temperatures.

"Well we look like polar opposites" he laughed "But you look beautiful as always". This caused me too blush. "You look nice as well".

I yelled a goodbye to my mom and we were off. I was officially on my first date.

I honestly didn't know how to feel about this date at first, going out with someone who was obviously not my match. It felt wrong, that is until i realized no one knew unless we made it obvious. That when i started having fun. We spent the whole day wandering the town. Playing in the park, going for coffee, seeing a movie. I thought we had done all we could do until he stopped in front of a cute little Italian restaurant.

"I thought you said nothing fancy?"

"I did" he smiled "Because i wanted you to dress as yourself, i wanted to be able to see the real you, and i have. This is my surprise of the night."

I couldn't stop smiling as he took my hand and pulled me into the restaurant. Getting a table near the back and placing our orders. Small talk and jokes were exchanged and suddenly i felt like i was being watched. I scanned the room and my eyes met the hazel ones i had known for years. Ashton was with his family only a few tables away, and i could feel the jealousy radiating throughout the room. Thankfully Luke caught my attention and our food was out soon after than. By the time i was done eating the hazel eyed boy and his family were gone and i was so thankful.

Luke took me home and when we got there he walked me to my door. I hugged him goodbye and started to walk away before he grabbed my hand and pulled me into him. Pressing a shprt sweet kiss to my lips. Leaving me starstruck as he pranced to his car and left. Leaving me on my front porch emotionally confused, but also very very happy.
