Liam's Pov The alarm went off at 4 am - bright and early, right? I dragged myself out of bed, all groggy, but duty calls. First things first, I headed over to the chicken coop to let those chickens out and make sure they're happy and well-fed. Next stop, the pig pen, the cows, and the horses. Gotta make sure all our animals are taken care of.
With all the feeding done, I hopped in my trusty truck to check on our various crop fields. This season, we've got maize, cotton, and some veggies growing strong. The ranch spans about 400 acres, so there's always something to do and see around here. We've got a bustling little community of 120 animals - cows, pigs, horses, and those clucking chickens.
Usually, we've got the laborers handling the morning tasks, but today they were all out in the fields getting things done. So, yours truly had to step in and feed the cattle. Thankfully, it's a job I enjoy - there's something so peaceful about spending time with the animals on the ranch.
After finishing up with the feeding, I made my way over to the crop fields. The workers were already hard at work weeding out the unwanted plants, so I spent some time supervising and giving them instructions on what needed to be done for the day. It's crucial to stay on top of things to ensure a successful harvest later on.
By the time I checked my watch, it was already 7 am. Yikes, time sure flies when you're busy on the ranch. I realized I had to start heading back soon, or I'd be late for the office. Balancing ranch work with my other responsibilities can be a challenge, but it's all part of the lifestyle out here.
And just like that, my morning on the ranch was coming to an end. As I drove back towards the main house, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this life I've built for myself. Sure, it's hard work, but there's a sense of satisfaction that comes with taking care of the land and the animals.
I walked in and found Rachel, my stepmom, was already up and sipping her morning coffee in the kitchen. I gave her a quick hello before heading upstairs to hit the gym. Yeah, we have one at home, lucky, right? I used to be a gym rat, but now I take it easy.
