I grab my phone off the counter and start typing a message to Phil

Pj: hey Phil can I ask you a question?

Phil: yeah go ahead

Pj: what's your roommates name??

Phil: oh he's Dan, sorry I didn't properly introduce you guys

Pj: haha its fine, can I have his number (I'm not a pedo I swear!)

Phil gave me Dans number and I went about my daily business.

Rosas POV

8 months, 8 months pregnant today. And I'm going for my next scan tomorrow, I've opted out of the doctors telling me anything but they say that they have very exciting news for me today, so I pull on my baby blue maternity top, leggings and a pair of trainers.

My headaches have been getting worse, the doctors say that it's only the baby and as long as I keep my fluids up I should be fine but I can't stop the feeling of something bad happening.

At first I didn't want the baby, after all I'd be a single mum and an actual baby with a life and needs, might be more than I bargained for.

But now I can't wait for my little bundle of joy, a girl would be amazing and then again I'd love a bouncing baby boy!

I get a taxi from my rented flat to the hospital, my flat is absolutely tiny but I'm hoping that I'll be able to get myself a proper house for me and my baby.

After the 20 minute drive that seems to last a life time, I hope out of the taxi. The hospital I'm going to is the same one Dan was in after he had his fall, I haven't seen Dan since then...

Originally I wanted to find out the gender of my baby with Dan, after all he's the father. But it seems he doesn't really care anymore so I'm going to find out today!

I walk to the main desk and tell the lady that I'm here for my pregnancy scan.
'Yes miss, just sit in the waiting room on the left and we'll get you in as soon as possible'

I wander down the eerily quiet corridor until I see the sign on the wall indicating the waiting room, I sit down next to the large fish tank looking through the glass at the tiny fish.

A woman comes and sits next to me, it's clear that she's pregnant and she pulls out a magazine.

Her bump isn't very large, so she could only be around 4 months in.

'Are you here for a scan?' I ask her quietly.

She goes pale and she whispers, 'I'm here for my abortion'

As she looks up and faces me I can see that she's incredibly young, 16 at the oldest. Her eyes fill with tears and she wraps her arms around her bump, as if trying to hug her baby. The baby she can't keep.

I hug her and rub light circles on her back until she stops crying.

'Sorry for bursting out like that, it's just been really hard making the decision the have the abortion and my boyfriend left me and everything's crap and-' she starts to cry again, but this time quieter.

Then a nurse walks in with a clipboard and calls me through to the doctor, 'I'm sorry but I have to go for my scan now, stay strong...' I whisper to her and she hugs me tight and thanks me.

I walk from the small waiting room to the doctors room where all the equipment is set up, he shakes my hand and asks me a few questions about how the pregnancy is going.

I lay on the bed and close my eyes as the doctor applies the cold jelly stuff to my bump, then drags the ultrasound equipment over it.

After about 20 seconds he smiles and says, 'Rosa I have some very important news, I can hear two heartbeats... that means twins!'

He then shows me the ultrasound and I can see the two tiny bodies curled up together, almost hugging each other.

I chose not to see my previous ultrasounds because I wanted it to be perfect, my mum didn't see her ultrasound until 8 months so I wanted to do the same.

The doctor explains that he can't tell the gender of my babies because of how their laying down so I guess it's going to be a surprise!

I sit up and I feel a clenching in my stomach, I feel a "popping" sensation, followed by an immediate gush of very warm fluid that soaked through my pants. A little more would leak out every time I moved.

'Miss, I believe you're going into labour!' The doctor says as his face falls into a worried gasp...
