 Xornoth's Perspective-

"Your posture is bad. Stand up straight!" Jaxon said and Xornoth threw his sword at him.

Jaxon jumped and stumbled out of the way.

"Xornoth! Do not throw your sword at your cousin." Sir Robins said and Xornoth huffed.

"Can you blame me? That jerk is always trying to get me like this!"

"So don't give him the pleasure in responding to him. Just ignore it- "

"It's not that easy." Xornoth said through gritted teeth.

Scott ran over and quickly grabbed Jaxon's arm, pulling him back into the castle.

Xornoth sighed and Sir Robins put his hand on Xornoth's shoulder.

"I know it's hard to have Prince Jaxon always on your tail, but you have to learn to ignore him and keep doing your best."

Xornoth was about to snap back but he didn't.

"Fine." He huffed, walking over and grabbing his sword.

"Good." Sir Robins nodded, "Now back into position."

-

Xornoth grumbled and took off his sweaty clothes before changing into new ones and collapsing on his bed.

He peeked his head outside of his room and made sure no one was around before walking back into his room and feeling under his dresser.

His hands felt a box and he pulled it out, looking inside it to see tiny red crystal shards.

"One, two, three, four..." Xornoth continued to quietly count before smiling weakly, "Alright good, they're all here."

He still had no idea what the demon thing was, but it hasn't shown itself since what happened, so maybe everything was okay!

Maybe that demon thing was just a dream, and nothing came out of the crystal, and he's just been a bit short with everyone recently because of another reason!

It was probably all Jaxon's fault and that's why he's been snapping easily.

Xornoth put the box back under his dresser and heard someone knock on his door.

"Come in." He said, shoving the box far under his dresser.

His father, Wallis, opened the door and smiled nervously.

"Hi." Xornoth said.

Wallis raised an eyebrow, "Why are you sitting on the floor?"

"I...I don't know, I just...was grabbing something I...dropped." Xornoth lied.

"O...kay." Wallis said, slowly nodding.

"What do you need?" Xornoth asked, standing up and dusting his pants off.

"I heard about what happened at training." His father said, sitting down on Xornoth's bed.

"Oh- yeah. What about it?"

"Is everything alright? You've been snapping a lot recently." His father said and Xornoth shrugged.

Wallis sighed, "I think I know why you're so stressed. And it's probably time I told you why me and your mother have been acting strange as well."

Xornoth tilted his head.

"You see, a little while ago, someone stole this red crystal that stores a demon who causes corruption to our world. We haven't found it, and if this crystal breaks, then the demon could seek control of the user, and he would be out again."

Xornoth's eyes widened, and his father patted his back.

"It's okay, it's going to be okay."

"A- a demon?"

Wallis nodded, "Gem's mother was able to seal him into a crystal and put ice around it. The ice was supposed to never break. And yet it did."

"H-huh." Xornoth stuttered, shaking a bit.

"It'll be okay, we'll find it, and everything will be back to normal."

"And- and if the crystal is broken?"

"Well...the person is probably being slowly corrupted by the demon."

Xornoth nods slowly.

"We'll figure this out. It'll be okay." His father said.

"Yeah...okay..." Xornoth whispered, his eyes drifting over to his dresser.

"Oh, and Xornoth, we're going to visit The Lost Empire tomorrow. We need to inform the other empires about the crystal. And besides, their ruler often has their eye on shiny, meaningful objects, so maybe they know where it is." Wallis said before leaving.

Xornoth nodded and sighed, laying down on his bed.
