It was nearing the end of the winter break, and Logan had taken you out on the town before he would have to travel to Europe to begin simulator work and pre-season testing. It was hard having a long distance relationship with your boyfriend, since he lived in London, and you lived in Miami, working for your family's business.

After spending a day in and out of shops at the outdoor mall, Logan held a bag of new clothes, and your hand in the other. Walking down the main area of the mall, the sun was just setting, leaving the sky a moody purple and gray color. You were content with Logan, everything was perfect.

"I'm really lucky to have someone like you," he blurted out, "I know we don't get to spend too much time with each other throughout the year, but when I am with you," he turned to face you, "I'm extremely fucking happy,"

You always thought it was a little funny when he cursed. Not for any specific reason, you just found it unexpected sometimes. The fake street lamps that lined the main walkway of the plaza perfected the mood of the night, the warm lighting making you feel at peace. You smiled at Logan, enjoying this moment with him.

"Me too, and I always look forward to our calls before your race weekends, they make my longer days feel a lot easier,"

You started walking with him to the parking lot, making the most of what little time you had with him. When the two of you reached Logan's car, he pulled you close, moving the hair out of your face. Cupping your face in his hands, Logan pressed his soft lips against yours, and as you melted into the kiss, you were startled by the feeling of something very furry rubbing up against your leg. Pulling away from your boyfriend, you quickly looked down to see a scruffy little Yorkie.

"What the-"

Logan laughed, letting out a sigh, "Looks like we were being watched,"

The small dog yipped and continued to rub up against your leg. You crouched down in the empty parking lot to get a better view of the dog. You checked for a collar, but there was nothing  to help identify its owners. The dog didn't seem to be afraid of you, in fact it enjoyed all the attention it was getting from you.

"Please don't ask me-"

"Can we take it home?" you pouted, looking up at him, "I promise I'll make an effort to find its owners. But if I can't find them, we'll have a new addition to the family,"

Logan sighed, not concerned about keeping the dog, but having the dog in his car. You picked up the petite Yorkie, standing up to meet him.

"I don't know, I don't have anything in my car we could let it sit on..." he said hesitantly, trying to not get your hopes up.

"That's completely fine, I can just empty my tote bag and have Millie sit in it on the ride to my flat," you reasoned.

Logan chuckled, raising an eyebrow, "Millie? You've already named it?"

"Yes I have, and it's actually a her," you smiled, proudly petting your new best friend.

"You're lucky I love you," he grinned, giving into your mind games.

You handed Millie to Logan, as he held the passenger door open for you. You dumped out the contents of your tote bag into the center console, making sure you could accommodate the little dog.

"And you're lucky you travel too much, because otherwise we'd have shared custody," you winked as he closed the door.
