Chapter Explanations!

To celebrate hitting 10k reads, and 20 chapters, I wanted to do a chapter where I explain the inspiration and some other stuff to the chapters I've written! Also I just wanted to yap about my writing..

Fools: Inspired by those Tiktoks of people using those fake phone apps like the hair cutters and beer (please I can't be the only one whose seen these), this is my most popular chapter, not my favorite. This used to be the second chapter but I felt like it was a strong opener to the oneshots.

Unexpected Visitor: I'm still pissed about this title I think I might rename it. The obvious inspiration for this and Paddock Puppy is Charles Leclerc's dog, Leo. 

Paddock Puppy: I FORGOT MIAMI WAS A SPRINT RACE SO I JUST CASUALLY REWROTE THE EVENTS OF THE WEEKEND LMAO... Miami 2024 was so traumatic as a Logan fan I rewrote the race weekend not once, but twice. (This is a hint about a new chapter coming out was it subtle enough for you?)

The Job/The Act: This was my first chapter and I was so invested into the oneshot I wanted to make it a story itself. But that's the thing I was only invested in the one chapter I wrote. Also the circumstances starting out are kinda contractual and it just didn't come together as a real story. Maybe I'll come back to it at some point, but that point isn't in the near future.

An Alarming Welcome: I don't like this chapter BUT a really funny thing happened to inspire this. I was taking my jacket off near my friend and she jokingly said "FOR FREE?!?" and then I found the need to work that dialogue into a oneshot.

Red Flag: No real inspiration for this besides watching race footage.

Baby Fever: What's a oneshot without a baby chapter? This chapter is meh but this is my second most popular chapter I think. Maybe there will be more chapters like it, who knows? (I do) 

Hide and Seek: The part where the reader and Logan are stuck in the storage closet together is roughly inspired by Red, White, and Royal Blue. I like including the 2023 rookies in my writing.

School Nights: I was projecting like hell but I really liked this chapter. I recommend this one.

Coffee: This fell short. I had so much momentum in School Nights but fell flat on my face when writing this. I like my coffee strong and sweet, but this chapter was anything but that.

Chance: I really like this one. The reader has morals (shocker I know) and stands their ground. Definitely potential for a sequel but we'll see.

Research: Nothing to really note to be honest. Logan just seems like the kind of guy to go to the library.

Nails: I saw F1 inspired nails on Tiktok but thought it was too on the nose so I just went with his initials.

Modern Gatsby: The entire thing is an homage to The Great Gatsby, AND there's a Hamilton musical reference. I hate when writers write characters to be related to others and it doesn't further the plot. There's no need to say the reader is related to the Leclerc's when they may not "act like a Leclerc" or it's never mentioned again. I feel like I really did this well. It's one of my favorites except for that part where the reader talks to her mother, that was a little meh.

Middle (Wo)man: A highschool gossip trope but make it adultish. 

Off Road Fling: I was in Greece when I wrote this and I watched the sunset with my two eyeballs. I didn't meet a handsome stranger in an ATV rental place unfortunately. I only walked by a rental place. This is one I recommend. 

Wish You Were Sober: No clue where I was going with this. I'm sorry for using the "sister of a driver" trope. At least I didn't mention another driver for no apparent reason. I didn't like this.

Lookalike: I saw a Tiktok where someone said Luke and Logan looked similar. Honestly I'm just a Williams Academy truther.

Angles: I hate this chapter with every bone in my body. But it still did good because Wattpad likes NSFW stuff. It was my first smut I really committed to and it was in my drafts for like two months until I decided to grow a pair and finish it. Not entirely sure I'll do stuff like that again, I think that was the worst chapter of smut ever written but then again there's Fifty Shades of Grey.

Hard Hitting Questions: I was sad but not sad enough to write about Logan being replaced (yet trust me there's a chapter in the works)
