"I'll be right there with you, baby."

COLTON'S FIRST MATCH was an easy win for him. Though he was a little rusty, but the man he played was in his late 60s and needless to say, the match ended quicker than it started.
Marlowe was surprised to see Colton coming off the court with a smile, as he never used to be so enthusiastic about tennis, quite frankly she used to believe he hated it.
"You played amazing." Marlowe returned the smile that was beaming off of Colton.
"Thank you, baby." He wrapped his arms around her instantly and gave her a light kiss on the forehead.
"I'm happy to see you happy." Marlowe's smile grew wider.
"I feel like myself again," Colton replied and he wrapped his arms around her shoulders and they walked off the court together.
The summer breeze blew threw Marlowe's brunette hair as she took her lipgloss out of her purse and reapplied it. It smelt the same as it always did. Apples. It reminded her of her old self but she could never get rid of it.
She could dye her hair back to brunette, move states and quit tennis but she could never get rid of that part of her life. She could never get rid of her lipgloss.
"What are you thinking about, hmm?" Colton squeezed her shoulder.
"How we are going to celebrate your amazing win!" Marlowe replied excitedly, "I'm thinking of a candle-lit dinner in the nearest fancy restaurant?"
"Of course, whatever you want baby."
Colton and Marlowe understood each other perfectly, but nobody knew the old Marlowe like Art Donaldson.
They knew the other inside and out, and that was something that Marlowe could never forget, no matter how hard she tried.
That's why, when hearing that Art was here with Tasha, she felt her heart break all over again.
EARLIER THAT DAY
Patrick and Marlowe both went and sat on the comfortable chairs in the lobby of the hotel, in between them was a table with two coffees on it.
