This chapter is dedicated to people who are hoping and praying to heal from past traumas. I hope you find permanent healing and I hope you don't give up on your healing process. This is just a reminder that no matter how long you have been stuck in your past...name it! Seven years? Ten years? Two years? You can still heal. The song for this chapter is " Home" by Machine gun Kelly, X ambassadors and Bebe Rexha.
" Wow!!!" Zoe said as she stared down at the instablog post on her Instagram.
DOUBLE CELEBRATION AS DAVID DASILVA'S SECOND SON, ZACH DASILVA GETS MARRIED AND HIS FIRST SON ZAIDEN DASILVA WELCOMES HIS THIRD CHILD.
Tears gathered in Zoe's eyes as she stared at the picture before her. Six-foot-two Zachary stood beside a petite lady while Zaiden stood beside a tall and chubby lady with a lovely smile. She noted that they were all smiling, they looked happy and it hurt her deeply. They didn't deserve to be happy.
She swiped through the next slide and she saw her parents, her dad, bald with grey beards, his eyes twinkling in delight as he stared lovingly at his wife. He was wearing a brown agbada while his wife was wearing a brown and gold Iro and buba, her makeup was topnotch, she has always liked loud makeup, her lips were painted bright red and oddly it suited her, because growing up, Zoe had always thought red lipstick was odd on her mom but in this picture, it was looking just fine. Anyways, in this picture, she was smiling really brightly as she held her husband's hand.
She went through the comment section and was surprised to see comments like
" Where's their daughter? I thought they had a daughter?"She sighed as she continued scrolling.
Someone commented"Use me as something weird is going on button"
" All these rich people Sha. I heard she relocated to Germany many years ago, shey she no go come back?"
Someone replied to the previous comment " Na she I like pass. Germany ko? Ghetto ni? And she no post for IG? She no calm reach like that."
Another comment. " Abi she don die ni?"
Zoe decided that she had had enough as she could no longer control her tears that was falling. She covered her mouth to suppress her wail because Chance was sleeping in his room.
When Chance gets older, he's going to be curious about his father, his grandparents and uncle and aunts. He never said anything but she could see it in his eyes, he had questions, burning questions.
Wiping her tears, she picked up her laptop and decided to complete her pending work. She would have finished it had Jordan not invited her to Church.
Zaiden was her favourite and rival. She had always wanted to be like him, he was cool, calm and approachable unlike Zachary who although being her immediate older was carefree and immature. However, judging from the pictures she had seen, Zach didn't seem like the immature and carefree older brother she had known, he was happy, genuinely happy, without her.
A knock on the door startled her. She quickly wiped her tears and moistened her lips by licking it.
She opened the door to see Jordan grinning as he held up a blue nylon.
