Amisi was in love. Dabhiti was so kind and attentive. He listened to her; made her feel wanted. She had met him at a bar where she was waiting tables. It was her first job right out of high school, and not quite enough to get by. She had left home the night after graduation, unable to stay any longer with her overprotective and overbearing mother. She apologized to her three little sisters, but she had to go.

She and Dabhiti hit it right off, they started dating, and soon he was asking her to move in with him. She resisted a little, he was a little bit older than she was after all, but she could use a place without rent, and she liked him. Her jaw almost hit the floor when they got to his house. It was a mansion! She didn't realize he made so much money! When she asked what he did for a living, he just said, "Trading" and she left it at that, knowing she didn't know anything about finance.

He raised falcons and taught her everything he knew. She loved the birds and how powerful they were. She still worked at the bar, but just to keep busy, because Dabhiti easily supported them both. He had many friends, and it seemed like there was always someone over.

After a year of living together, Amisi noticed one day that one of the kitchen cabinets wasn't flush with the wall. She wondered how long it had been like that and tried to move it back, but when she got close, she could see there was a hole behind the cupboard. Curious, she pulled the cabinet away instead and saw many bags of white powder, hidden in the wall. Amisi stood there, stunned, until she heard someone coming. She hurriedly tried to push the cabinet back in place, but it was too late! She flipped around as Dabhiti came down the stairs. He saw her, the cupboard, and the wall and his face turned dark.

Amisi tried apologizing, "Dabhiti! I'm sorry! I didn't- I won't-"

Dabhiti grabbed her by the upper arm and started dragging her down the hallway. He pulled her down the stairs to the basement and dragged her into his "man-cave." She wasn't supposed to go into his "man-cave" and now she saw why. There was a man counting money and another portioning white powder at a table to the left. There were open crates neatly filled with guns of various types to the right. There was a single couch where another man lounged with a beer. They all looked up when Dabhiti entered, and surprise crossed their faces when they saw Amisi.

"Tie her," he said, grimly, and threw her on the couch next to the man who had since set down his drink.

The man on the couch grabbed Amisi's arms as she tried to get up and run, and dragged her wrists together behind her back, pulling her back down on the couch. The one counting money jumped up and scrambled to find something to tie her with. He found some large zip ties, and they tightened them down on her wrists and ankles.

"One of you didn't hide the stash right!" Dabhiti yelled.

He walked over to the crates of guns and pulled out a handgun. He rifled around until he found a clip for it. Loading the gun, he walked over to Amisi and pointed it at her.

"Dabhiti... please..." Amisi was crying, but she looked straight at him.

"Stop looking at me..." he said softly.

When she didn't look away, he yelled, "STOP LOOKING AT ME!" and fired the gun over her shoulder into the wall. Amisi flinched and screamed.

Dabhiti leveled the gun at Amisi again, when there was a loud bang behind them! Men in riot gear poured through the open doorway, brandishing guns and yelling commands to drop their weapons and get to the floor. Dabhiti and his men immediately complied. They were handcuffed and taken away.

"Don't cry, doll, we got the bad guys!" one of the raid police said, laughing.

Another officer cuffed him on the back of the head, "Go help with processing."
