Chapter Fourteen: Trouble In Nashville

Alexis's POV
I yawned as I stepped off the private jet. We had just flown on the jet for three days just to get back to Nashville. The team is coming back for another home game against the Calgary Flames. I haven't heard much about that team, but they are rumored to be very good. The team doesn't seem to be worried though, which I guess is kinda great.
I only got four hours of sleep on the jet and I'm very tired. James came down the steps of the jet with that same black backpack slung over his right shoulder. His eyes were bright with energy, as he had gotten lots of sleep on the way back. I groaned, rubbing my eyes. Suddenly, I felt my eyelids droop and I dropped my suitcase, which fell to the concrete ground with a clang. My body felt very heavy and I found myself falling towards the ground, fast. James had noticed and ran over to to catch me.
But by the time he got there, I already fell down on the ground, hard. A sharp pain went through my head and I could feel myself losing blood. Fast.
"Alexis, please don't leave me" I looked up and saw Filip kneeling over me with tears in his eyes. "I love you" I said weakly, as I was in tons of pain.
"I love you too" Filip said as a tear slipped down his cheek. And that was the last thing I remembered before my vision went black and I passed out.

(At the hospital)

Shea's POV
What just happened a few minutes ago was very scary. Alexis lost tons of blood when she fell. I don't think I can ever get that image out of my head.
Her falling towards the ground, James trying to catch her, her head hitting the concrete, hard. I could see blood forming a pool behind her head.
It was terrible. Alexis has been like a little sister to me. And to see her hurt, it just breaks my heart. I looked over at the team, who had their heads in their hands or solemn expressions on their faces. But Filip looked the worst. His brown hair was very messy and his eyes were red and puffy from crying. Poor kid, I thought.
His first girlfriend just got hurt and they just got together two days ago.
We were all sitting in the waiting area outside the room where Alexis was being treated. A nurse with brown curly hair came out of the room with a clipboard in hand. "Your friend Alexis is very much ok, but she has suffered a major concussion and lost tons of blood. Her head hit the ground pretty hard, so when she wakes up, she may or may not be in a coma" The nurse said solemnly. I saw Filip's brown eyes fill up with tears. "You all can come in the room and see her now" The nurse said softly as she opened the door.
We all slowly walked into the room to find Alexis lying on a hospital bed fast asleep. We all stood around the bed, looking down at her. She looked so fragile, which made all of us very sad.
Most of the people on this team have kids, like me, so they treat Alexis like she is their daughter. I hope she wakes up soon.

Alexis's POV
My vision was black, and my a stinging pain was going through my head.
What was going on? Am I in a hospital?
Where's Filip? Just then, I heard his voice. "Alexis, please wake up. I can't live without you please" He said through tears. Filip's crying? Over me?
That's so cute. Suddenly, my eyes flew open and Filip, who had his head in his hands, was looking at me with a big smile on his face. He pulled me into a hug, squeezing me tight. I buried my face into the crook of his neck, breathing in his familiar scent.
We pulled away after fifty seconds.
"Alexis, do you remember everyone, not including me, standing around this bed?" He asked gently. I looked around the room and saw very tall and some slightly short men around me. The tallest one had blonde hair, ocean blue eyes, and was wearing a Predators cap. The one next to him had brown hair, brown eyes, and a little bit of scruff on his face. He looks familiar, I thought. I took one more glance at all the men standing in my room and said" I don't remember any of you except for Filip. I'm sorry"
All the men sighed and some of them even had tears in their eyes. I immediately felt very guilty. "Look guys, I'm sorry, but I think I hit my head pretty hard. I don't remember any of you" I said sighing. "It'll take you a couple of days to remember who those people are" Filip said gently.
"Get some rest" Filip said leaning down and kissing my forehead. Then he started to leave the room along with the other guys. "Wait!" I exclaimed causing Filip to turn around. "Can you stay with me?" I asked blushing.
Filip nodded and sat down in the chair next to me. Then, he grabbed my hand and laced our fingers together.
"Go to sleep, I'll be right here when you wake up" Filip said gently.
And that's the last thing I remembered before I fell asleep.

A/N: Poor Alexis:( The team seemed so sad when she said she didn't remember them! It'll take a few days to remember who they are. I hope all of you are excited for the next season:) I know I am !
