Chapter Six: Drama Ensues

James's POV
I watched as Filip wrapped Alexis in a hug, burying his face in her neck.
Alexis smiled and rubbed his head comfortingly. Filip had just found out that his grandfather is very sick two minutes ago. "It's ok Filip, everything will be ok. He will be ok" Alexis said softly. Suddenly, we heard a knock at the door. I opened it and Roman was standing behind it, a small smile on his face. "I heard what happened Filip. I'm sorry" He said patting his back gently. Then he turned to Alexis and asked "You ready to go?"
Alexis nodded before giving Filip one last hug and a kiss on the forehead.
After that, she walked over to Roman, grabbed his hand and laced their fingers together. "Where are you going?" Filip asked with a fake smile on his face. "We're going to the park with Shea and Pekka. See you guys later" Alexis said as they walked out.
"Bye, have fun!" I exclaimed closing the door behind them.
"Filip, are you ok kid?" I asked.
"I'll get over it. It was never going to happen anyway, Roman's much better looking than me, so why would I have a chance with Alexis? What's the point?" Filip said laughing bitterly.
I frowned, poor kid. "Don't be so bitter. Just give her time" I said.
"Don't you think I've been doing that for the past few years I've known her?" Filip snapped. Wow, he's never like this. "Oh god, I'm so sorry. I don't know what came over me. I just really like Alexis and-" He said cutting off when he broke down. Tears were streaming down his face like a river. I pulled Filip in a quick hug and rubbed his back gently. "Look, Alexis needs time to figure out her feelings for you. She's probably feeling very confused and conflicted right now. Give her time Fil.She'll come around eventually" I said ruffling his hair. Filip gave me a small smile before saying" Thanks Nealer" "No prob" I said smiling.

Meanwhile......

Alexis's POV
The sun was blazing hot and there were no clouds in the sky.
Nonetheless, it was a beautiful day.
Shea, Pekka, Roman, and I decided to go to the park. We've been here for one hour. I laughed as Shea pushed me on the blue swing.
"I feel like a little kid again" I said smiling. "Me too" Pekka agreed laughing. Roman, who was beside me, fell off his swing and on his butt.
Shea, Pekka, and I burst out laughing.
"It's not funny" Roman mumbled as he got up and brushed off the grass he had on him. "Guys, I'm worried about Fil. He's been acting very weird these past couple days. Do you guys know why?" I asked. Shea, who suddenly looked very uncomfortable, said" No, why?" "I don't know, just wondering" I said shrugging. What is going on with Filip? Is he ok? I hope he's ok.
"We have to leave" I said glancing at the wristwatch Filip gave me.
"Yeah, it's getting late and we have a game tomorrow" Shea agreed.
And with that, we walked back to the hotel.

(At the hotel)

Filip's POV
I've been lying in my bed for hours, just staring at the ceiling. All I can think about is her and Roman.
What if they're secretly dating?
I shook that thought away immediately. No, stop thinking like that! You don't know that! But, then again, they have been hanging out a lot recently. Always going out after games and sneaking off to the hotel pool to swim. I felt a pang of jealousy in my stomach. Why can't I be Roman right now? Why does he get to hold her hand? Why him? Does she think I'm not good enough for her? All these thoughts ran through my head.
Suddenly, the hotel room door opened and Alexis and Roman walked in, hand in hand. "Bye Roman. See you in the morning" Alexis said smiling.
"Bye Alexis" He said gently squeezing her hand before letting it go.
But what he did next broke my heart.
He kissed Alexis on the cheek.
Then, with a smile and a wink, he was gone. Alexis turned around and her cheeks were tomato red. "Does someone have a boyfriend?" James asked smirking. "No, shut up. Roman and I aren't dating Nealer. We're just really good friends" She said.
"I doubt that" He said laughing.
Alexis rolled her eyes, grabbing her pajamas from the suitcase.
"I hate you Nealer" She said before walking into the bathroom to change.

(Later)

Alexis's POV
That night, Filip, James and I decided to watch a movie in our room.
We ordered pizza from room service, as we didn't want to go out and get food. I smiled as I snuggled into Filip's side, resting my head on his shoulder.
He had an arm wrapped around my shoulders securely, making me feel safe. James was sitting on a very soft looking chair, eyes fixed onto the screen. We decided to watch "The Avengers", which was one of my favorite movies of all time.
Throughout the movie, I kept thinking about Roman and Filip.
They are great, caring, humble, protective and handsome boys.
I've known both for a few years.
I've been contemplating my feelings for both boys these past couple days.
What is a girl to do? I thought sighing.
