Hai Shi brought a bowl of medicine to Chao Yang's bedside, her eyes clear and bright.

"Miss, this is a remedy from our tribe. It will aid your health," she said, offering the bowl with pride. "It's not bitter."

Chao Yang had just removed her outer garment, wearing only her inner white robe, her pallor blending with the fabric. Although slightly irritated by Hai Shi's abrupt entrance, Chao Yang was intrigued by her words. If the Sacred Tribe's medicine was as potent as claimed, it was worth considering.

She discreetly sniffed the bowl's contents. Unable to identify specific herbs, she sensed nothing harmful.

Without further hesitation, she drank it in one go. A faint bitterness was followed by a refreshing fragrance—not difficult to swallow.

"How is it? Not bad, right?" Hai Shi looked at Chao Yang expectantly.

Chao Yang nodded. "Thank you."

"Don't mention it," Hai Shi replied, blinking innocently. Her celestial face remained calm, though inwardly she was thrilled. If the celestial being's wife was pleased, the celestial being might be inclined to help her!

Hai Shi's gaze remained bright, watching Chao Yang. Chao Yang wanted to tell her that her celestial being was now the Empress of Yunqi, but reason told her that revealing this could ruin everything.

"I'm going out for a while. Inform Shuwen," Chao Yang said.

Shortly after drinking the medicine, Chao Yang felt warmth spreading through her body, her spirits lifting without needing to use her inner strength. The Sacred Tribe's remedies were indeed extraordinary.

"You're going out?" Hai Shi asked, surprised.

Due to her health, Chao Yang rarely ventured out, preferring to curl up with a book at home.

Chao Yang donned white-soled boots, replying, "I'll be back by dusk."

Hai Shi nodded but hesitated, "Shuwen...?"

Although Shuwen had a strong personality and lacked the delicacy of other women, she had grown accustomed to relying on Chao Yang. The thought of Chao Yang going out alone would certainly unsettle her.

Yet, why were Chao Yang and Shuwen so different from ordinary women? Was it because she was the celestial being's wife?

Hai Shi truly admired the celestial being, even though they hadn't met.

The weather was clear, and the capital's streets were bustling with people.

Chao Yang maintained her usual attire: a blue gown and a white veil hat.

Liencheng Rice Shop was among the top five in the Southern Kingdom, with a decade-long history.

As Chao Yang was about to enter, a sudden breeze made her pause. Her hand swiftly reached out to grasp the wrist of someone in front of her.

"What are you doing? Let me go!"

The voice, not yet broken, was crisp, indicating a child.

Chao Yang lightly tapped the person's body, intending to have them taken away, only to recall she was alone and abandoned the idea.

She glanced at the would-be thief who had attempted to snatch her purse before even reaching her. Disliking being touched, she noted that the thief hadn't realized she carried no money.

Amused, Chao Yang thought the "thief" quite unprofessional.

The child, or perhaps a girl in boy's clothes, stood frozen by Chao Yang's pressure point, glaring angrily with large eyes. Her oval face and flushed cheeks were quite cute.
