Snow fell on the already harsh landscape, blanketing the tundra in a white blanket, snow crunching underfoot, Lightning dove into a large waterfall, icicles wouldn't form here, but it was well hidden by whatever foliage had flourished, whether it be Sweet Snowbud or Winter's Darkmallow, it clung to the surrounding rocks as a Salt-Dwelling Grimora to a Sea Stalker. Mountains rose on either side, standing tall and regal, each one went by a special name.

. . .

"Hailstorm?" Lightning peered around, searching for his mates familiar grey scales and Light-Blue markings. "Above you, Lightning!" Lightning launched himself upwards, tackling Hailstorm with a satisfied grin. "Found you!" Pushing him off, the female Lightning Fury brushed his wing, twining her tail with his own. Her head rested on his shoulder as she gazed at him. "I don't want to lose you..." Lightning murmured, closing his eyes for a brief moment. "You won't lose me, Lightning. I'll be here; standing by your side, and supporting you no matter what..." Hailstorm insisted. She whacked him playfully with her wing; before rising to her paws, and whisking away, most likely to find his mother. Lightning looked after her for a moment, before being absorbed by his thoughts. He knew he would blame himself if Hailstorm was wounded again...Or worse... Killed. Images of his former mate; Dawn, echoed in his head, how she had told him to move on; continue living; and not to live in the past...He couldn't be there when she had taken her last breath, he had ran, coming across this place, and had lived there ever since the incident. What. Is. That? Hailstorm looked up; her gaze widening in surprise. Where are they all going? Why in such a rush? "Lightning? Are you seeing this?" She prodded Lightnings ribs; her jaws parted. "What in the Star Furies name?!" He exclaimed; looking back. "Wait here–perhaps I can get a closer look." Hailstorm paused; her gaze lit with alarm. "Fine. Just be careful; and stay hidden." She fretted. Lightning rolled his eyes, smirking. "And when was the last time I was in trouble?" Hailstorm thought; turning around to find him gone. Dang it. Too late. Hailstorms gaze searched the horizon; her breath caught in her throat as the mass of dragons hovered. He better stay hidden... Lightning hovered right to the mass; studying them. He drew back with a startled gasp. They weren't normal. This wasn't normal! They were void of any emotion; eyes glazed over with a white film. None of this is normal... One turned; it's blank gaze boring into the Lightning Furies soul. Though he was well hidden, it seemed to know he was there. A long moment passed; and it turned away; the large mass of dragons continuing onward; where they disappeared into the horizon. Something is happening. And it could destroy the world as we know it. The frightening reality of these words shook Lightning to the core; and he spun around; diving back towards the sanctuary; and disappearing amongst the dark shadows. Something's coming; something we have never witnessed. Something that could bring reality to a halt.  Something we can't prevent.
