Chapter 33 - Amicable pt2

Sera felt her heart rate rise at this lavish event. The Venue was decorated second to none, champagne offered on arrival and red carpet treatment too. She had never been so nervous, there was definitely a class war here and she was not in this class of people at all.

"Ah Reece, it's good to see you my man.." Whitby said, one of his legit business associates. Whitby looked at Sera. "I heard you and Diana had split.. we all need something a lil different between the sheets." He smirked, looking at her like she was a common ho.

Reece smiled. "Very true man." He then said.

Another woman approached. "Reece Roberts.. look at you." She said and proceeded to hug and kiss his cheek, "it is so good to see you here... many people thought that you wouldn't show up because of Diana..."

"Well here I am...

She looked at Sera. "And you are?."

"Sera...

"She's with me for the night..." Reece jumped in suddenly and then smiled.

"Oh.." she smiled back and winked. "Say no more.."

They both walked over to the bar and got drinks a while later. "Why aren't you letting me speak to people?.." she asked him.

"Sera... these people are of a certain wealth and stature.. you were a stripper, living in a shared house... to them you're the type of girl they would screw behind their wives backs and just use... they will see you as ghetto..

Sera stared at him. "That was how we met.. is that how you see me?." She said.

"Sometimes, when you talk which is why I told you to just smile." He said to her. She couldn't believe he was belittling her in front of his high society friends.

"Oh god there they are!" Diana said.

Her mother said nothing but held her daughters arm in moral support of her.

Reece saw her, he couldn't ignore her, she was the mother of his kids. He looked at Sera. "Stay here for just a minute... I will see how the land lies.." he said and left her standing alone by the bar while he walked over to his ex wife.
He smiled. "Diana.. good to see you." He placed a kiss on her cheek and started talking.

Sera was feeling out of place completely. But she also felt like she had nowhere else to go, or no one else to talk to anywhere in the world now.

Diana's father saw her, smirked and walked over to her. "Well this is completely not your scene... I mean do you charge by the hour or...

"How dare you.. I am not a hooker..

"I would beg to differ... look at you, any man here can see straight through you... you may have trapped him by getting pregnant, seeing him as your meal ticket out of the slums... but it's in you, that is who you are... a stripper, a home wrecker and a cheap ass trick....

Sera slapped his face. Everyone stopped and stared. "You thought that by you fixing for me to leave LA, would have kept me from Reece... but it won't, ever... we love each other...

Reece rushed over and grabbed her by her wrist, he dragged her out of the venue. He slammed her against the wall, he was as angry as hell. "How dare you show me up!.."

"He was saying bad stuff about me... I couldn't let him get away with it..." she said to him, her heart racing.

"I wanted just for one night for you to be by my side!.." he snapped,

"I am by your side...I won't be talked down to just because he was raised with a silver spoon up his ass..
He looked down at her stomach and shook his head.
"What was that look for...

"I don't know with you sometimes ... but you're going back in there and you will just say nothing... do you understand, not a damn word Sera.." he took her hand and linked his arm with hers tightly and walked back inside.

Maddison loved the permanent smile on Romeo's face. She stroked his cheek as he lie next to her on her hospital bed. "I love to see you smiling like this." She said to him,

"It feels good to know that she's mine.. and no one can take her away from me.." he said to her.

"We need to tell Sera...

"Who?." He said with meaning. "I gave that girl everything for the whole of her life, now she can't even bring herself to talk to me..." he added. "I'm done trying now Maddie... as far as I'm concerned Walker is welcome to her.. my future and my family is right here.."

Maddison kissed his lips. "She has changed.. since she has been with Reece and around Calvin.." she added.

"Not my problem." He smiled. "For me and Sera it's over.. my time and energy needs to go into you two."

Sera spent the rest of the night doing as Reece had said, standing still by his side, smiling if spoken to and keeping her words to a minimum. She felt like a trophy on his arm. He made her feel like she had nothing integral to add and maybe she didn't but she was being treated like a low class escort and she was ashamed and embarrassed for herself.

She realised that this was exactly how people saw her, nothing more than a stripper who took a husband from his wife and kids, now carrying another man's child, while she hung on the arm of the man with money.

"Who am I?" She said to herself. Not remembering her mother, not being Romeo's child, knowing she was the product of an affair, the child of a man she didn't even know.
She leaned in close to Reece. "I need to get some air..." she whispered.

He nodded and watched as she walked away.

She got outside and felt like she couldn't breathe, everything was just too overwhelming. Suddenly from nowhere she was grabbed from behind, her mouth covered by a gloved hand she was thrown into the back of a blacked out truck and driven away. A sack was put over her head, she could hear 2 or 3 different male voices, she couldn't make any of them out though. Her mouth was gagged and her hands cable tied behind her back. She was scared for her life, but she realised that no one would miss her any way. Reece had Cassius, it was all he wanted her back for to have his son in his life. Romeo had Maddison and a new child of his own coming. China hated her because of Calvin and Calvin just wanted his revenge.

"She really doesn't suit you Reece... the women in your life need to be so much more smarter and independent, that's what makes them sexier than a ho." Whitby said to him.

Reece sighed. "She's the mother of my son, and right maybe it shouldn't have happened but it did.. she's a good girl... just misunderstood.." he said. "Being with me will teach her exactly how she needs to act." He told him.

Diana looked at him from across the room and smiled. He smiled back at her. She had been amicable and respectful of him just as he knew she would. Sera on the other hand seemed to just want attention as far as he was concerned.....
