Chapter 47 - Rekindling

Reece arrived at the safe house the next morning. The chief had already let them know that he would be visiting and to let him in, no one ever went against Reece, even the chief.
He carried Cassius in and he was let through to see Sera.

She was writing a journal to keep check of her surroundings and just to find out more about herself at this time. She stopped writing when the door opened and Reece walked in with a grumpy Cassius. She looked at the baby boy and she just stared at him, trying to take in everything about him. She then looked at Reece and her stomach churned. She still didn't understand why she would have even been on the radar of a man such as him.
"Are you okay?." He asked her.

She nodded. "I'm still trying to get my head around meeting you and my father... and then this lil man." She smiled at Cassius.

"He is becoming a handful I can tell you that... Being a father of four daughters I thought he would be less of an issue and be a little more placid, but I was so wrong, this one has me running in circles." He smiled.

"You have 4 daughters?." She looked at him.

He nodded. "Yeah... look, I will help you to decipher who you are, and hopefully in time to come you will remember all of this and remember where you were and remember that I love you..." he told her.

"I don't understand how we got together...

"You worked at my club as a dancer..." he sighed. "I knew it was wrong to pursue you and want you the way that I did.. but every time I saw you I just couldn't stop myself... I was married and it wasn't such a happy marriage for me... you were my escape, my breath of fresh air... and it all went a lil wrong but I knew I wanted you.. and was happy when you had my son.. my first baby boy... we had some ups and downs but we were finally back to where we should have been a long time ago... and then this happened.." he said.

"Do you love me..

"Yes Sera I do love you very much..." he took out his cell and he showed her the pictures he had of both of them together, Sera with Cassius, just her by herself, he did care about her a lot that was evident.

She looked at him. "Who is Calvin?."

Reece breathed deeply and sighed. "Calvin was yo house mate... before we got together you and he lived together... you were friends and nothing more... our situation, me being married and not being able to be with you straight away, pushed you into his arms... at first you tried to disguise yo pregnancy as his.. he was gonna raise my son!.. then you came to yo senses and once I knew Cass was mine... there was a tussle for you between me and Calvin... he put me in a coma...

Sera was wide eyed listening to all of this. "What?...

"He loved you too... when we weren't together you and him rekindled a lil.. he got you pregnant but you asked him to cover up, he took the condom off midway through.... That was the baby you lost..." he told her.

Sera just stared, digesting everything that Reece was telling her. "And who wanted me dead... was it Calvin?..." she looked at him deep in his eyes. "Was it you because of him.. because I was carrying his baby?."

"No... you had decided to get a termination.. and you were angry with Calvin... I love you and as stupid as it sounds he does too.. neither of us would want to hurt you in that way.." he told her.

"So who did.. and why?....

"... the people I hired to do this job before were fucking amateurs.. this time I want her dead.. I want to see proof of her body mutilated in front of me..... so this time I turn to you..."
Devon looked at the man across the desk from him.

The man sat forward. "What is the bounty?."

"25000 upfront.... 475000 when I know she is gone...." He told him.

"Getting her out of federal protection won't be easy... all the pressure and risk is on me.. I may need extra insurance...

Devon looked at him. "What is it that you want?."

"I want one night with your daughter...
Devon shifted nervously. The man laughed. "Cmon Devon... I want one night with her plus the half a million for the job... but your daughter needs to be willing and ready to enjoy herself..."

"Diana is about to get her man back and her life back.. she is the mother of 4 daughters.....

"I don't mean her... I meant yo other daughter, the illegitimate one.. the one you keep yo mouth shut about.. yo love child...

Devon looked at him. "How the hell did you find that out!.."

He smirked. "I know everything.. it is my job to know everything... find a way of getting her to me and tell her that she needs to tend to my every need for the whole night... or the deal is off... and Sera lives to fight another day and screw the man you want so desperately for Diana... the apple of your eye...." he paused. "So I guess it is all up to you..." he smiled.

Romeo picked up Heaven and he consoled her as she cried and moaned in his arms. He saw Calvin pull into the drive. He opened the door. "Calvin what are you doing here?."

"I just wanna talk okay, nothing more...

Romeo looked at him for a second, sighed and let him in. "We're just talking... I am not about to get into shit with you..."

"Look, before all of this Sera was my friend.. we looked out for each other... I was her sound board, her rock, especially when she hit the bottom over you going to jail... I stayed by her side for 5 fucking years... I love her man, I love yo daughter...." He told him. "I just need to know...

"She is okay, she is under federal protection... she remembers nothing, and no one, her entire memory has gone... that is all I know that is as good as you're gonna get right now man.. we all feel some kinda way over this.. but the real enemy is whoever paid Orion to have that done to her.. someone with a vendetta... and I don't believe for one minute that would be you or Reece.. but what would really help is to have you two on side trying to do this together for her rather than constantly fucking with each other over her... because that is not what she needs right now. You also need to understand that she is better off with Reece, what the hell can you do for her now apart from bring her more misery you are about to have a baby with China... she does not need the extra aggravation with everything that she is going through right now... you have to let her go and you just have to be her friend.."
