ADITYA

"You wanted to see me?" I asked, my voice steady as I took the seat in front of him.

"You already know the reason," he replied, leaning back in his chair with a knowing look.

"Depends on what you are going to ask," I said calmly, meeting his gaze directly.

This morning, I received a text from Arjun saying that he wanted to meet. I knew exactly what he wanted to discuss—he had already figured out that I knew the truth.

"You already know it wasn't just an accident," he said, his tone cold and calculating.

"I figured that out," I replied, my expression unreadable.

"I don't want you to reveal it to Tara. She won't be able to handle it. Whatever little hope she has left, don't take that away from her," he added, his eyes as cold as ice.

"I don't plan on hiding it from her. But if her family has hidden the truth from her, there must be a reason. Even if she learns the truth, I'll be by her side. If she loses hope, I'll give her new reasons to live. I won't let anything break her," I said firmly, standing up to leave.

"Before you go, Dad wants to meet you," he declared, stopping me in my tracks.

"Tell him he can make an appointment," I replied, turning towards him with a smirk. "You enjoy meddling in other people's business, don't you? Well, I thought I'd return the favor. The contract your team was going to sign with the government is no longer yours."

His eyes darkened at my revelation, and I noticed his hands clenching, as if he was struggling to control himself. He didn't say a word, but his silence spoke volumes.

My smirk widened. "If you meddle in my business, be prepared to receive it back. I never leave a deal unfinished."

"So, think twice before crossing me again," I said, my voice low and deadly. With that, I turned and walked out, leaving him seething in silence.

"Rishi, I want you to keep an eye on him," I said calmly, placing the file on the table. The file contained every bit of information we had on this bastard. He took the file and began reviewing it.

"Okay, sir," he replied, looking back at me with resolve.

"I want every single detail of what he does, where he goes, who he meets with, what he eats, and when he sleeps. Don't miss a thing," I instructed, my tone leaving no room for misunderstanding. He nodded and left the room.

The moment I first saw him, my instincts screamed that something was off. He doesn't live here, yet here he was, hovering around my Jaan. So I had my men tail him. My suspicions were confirmed—he wasn't here without a purpose.

I need to know why he's doing this and to what extent he'll go. I won't let him even breathe near her. She is mine, and I fiercely protect what's mine. Once I uncover his intentions, I'll end him in the worst way possible.

A week ago, a note arrived: "It's about time we meet, Tara. Your admirer," along with flowers. It wasn't meant for me but for my Jaan. Fortunately, my men intercepted it before she could see it. I had only one suspect in mind, so I ordered surveillance on him.

I'm not yet certain if it's him or another bastard. But it's only a matter of time until I find out. I won't let him die until I get the answers I need. And if my suspicions are correct, he's the key to those answers.

That fucking piece of shit dared to send flowers to my Jaan. Never mind I'll return those same flowers—to his grave. But before that, I'll slice his throat for calling her 'baby.'
