Lee, Shan's dad and Alex were both stunned—except for Alex who was just surprised about her saying it.

Shan just stood by the door nervously while her dad and brother were in the act of killing for who they thought was a trespasser.

"Please tell me it's a lie..." Lee asked with pleading eyes. Hoping that what he was hearing from his older twin sister's mouth is just an illusion.

"...it's true, Lee. And...uhm... surprised..?" Shan said with an awkward shrug while her hands raise up slowly as she did.

Shan's dad, Robert, looked at her with the same look on Lee.

"Shan...?" he managed to say as his grip loosens on gripping at Vittorio's hair.

Alex then leaped up once Shan went towards him. Shan offered her hand to help him up ignoring the stares Lee and Robert were giving her. Shan sighed when Alex, too, gave her a look but Lee and Shan's dad didn't see it since his back was facing them.

Shan then forced a soft smile on her face and made it look convincing as she can.

Lee tucked his pistol into the back of his jeans while Robert straightened himself up. Alex just stood next to Shan, face all confused and intrigued. He never met her parents, let alone his friend—ex boss, telling him he, too, knew nothing about Shan's family.

When Lee and Robert were now settled, they gave Shan a look to explain her situation.

"Sit."

"Sorry I haven't told you guys anything...I was actually keeping it as a surprise." Shan said as if she was nervous. Which she really was. She never really expected for Alex to bust into her hotel room like that. And, she thought, it was also half her fault for forgetting to ask the receptionist to change her room card key.

Unfortunately, she had to lie about how she and Alex met in the college campus and started to talk. Then, eventually, they gotten a little personal and realized they started to have feelings for each other and admitted it to each other.

"Wait we di-" Alex said looking at Shan who was next to him on the long crescent shaped sofa. He didn't get to finish when she suddenly bended his hand secretly while also putting a smile on her face.

"You could have at least told us." Lee insisted, eyeing Alex with a cold look but Alex noticed that he was the only one receiving a deadly glare from Shan's dad when he just learned was named Robert and her twin brother, Lee.

Alex felt like he was a guilty person and was being given death glares while the interrogator gives the suspect intense glares.

"Lee's right, Shan. You should have.  What if something..." Robert took a glance to Alex and wrinkled his nose as he did, "happened...when no is here to look after you?" he quickly changed his expression once he came to look a Shan again.

"Dad...I'll be fine. What do you think I'm made of? Glass? Cotton?" Shan asked boringly.

"Well...no..? Yes..?- look your still my daughter and it's my obligation to protect you from danger." Robert said making the word danger very loud enough.

Then Alex decided to pitch in and even though his git was saying not to, he didn't listen. He can't just sit there and do nothing while Shan was a nervous wreck. Besides, it's his actions that put Shan into this mess anyways. It's just correct that he help her to get out of this mess as she helped him from being killed for trespassing.

"Uhm...sir..." all eyes were now on him and Alex gulped. He never felt so nervous in his whole entire life before. He just brushed it aside and cleared his throat.

"I don't mean to intrude, but...I promise you that I will never do something that Shan doesn't approve on doing. I can reassure you that." Alex said as a way to calm them down. Shan just nodded with a sigh, agreeing to what he said.

"Oh really..?" Lee asked, cocking a brow upwards.

Alex nodded.

"Hm... I don't trust you." Lee said with his finger holding his chin up.

"Only if you win against..." Lee said thinking of who he wants Alex to fight against.

Alex just stood even straighter. It's not because he was scared. It was because he was confident. Alex is very good with his hands, and his reflex was a s fast as how people blinked. He wouldn't even blink once he punches someone in the face. Even shoot.

"My sister." Lee finishes with a smirk. Alex then chocked on his breath.

"What?" Alex managed to say and looked at Shan who didn't even react, so too was her father. Shan only let a silent sigh while both Lee and Robert smirked.
