"Uhm...I don't follow..." Alex asked, confused. He can't just fight the person he loves. He is willing to fight anyone, but Shan? She's an exception for him.

"Lee. Come on, don't be too childish and dad, please don't let this pass-" when Shan looked at her father's direction her blank face was now filled with a look 'Please-don't-let-him'.

"I think it's actually a good idea." Robert said doing the exact opposite Shan was expecting.

"Besides sis, this dude wouldn't stand a chance. If he does, then..." Lee hesitated before continuing, "I we will... approve this whole... relationship thing." Lee said with a smirk since he thought that Alex will just be defeated.

Alex was now even more nervous, he took a quick glance at Shan who was massaging her temple.

Shan was now getting more anxious, not because she didn't know how to fight but the tendency that she might break every part of his bones once it's done.

Suddenly, Alex sighed heavily and cleared his throat.

"So, one round?" he asked hiding his nervousness. Lee and Robert looked at Alex with shocked eyes. They didn't really expect for Alex to ask how many rounds.

Lee smirked while Shan was just stunned.

"Yes. Tomorrow."

"Uhm...are you sure this is a good place to fight? Who's dojo even is this?" Alex asked while looking around the white walled room and a hard foam as the floor. There were several types of training dummies around and a boxing bag hanging from the ceiling at the side of the room.

"Don't worry about that. Shan will be here soon. Good luck. You're gonna need it." Lee said with a smirk and when he was now beside Robert who was sitting at the corner of the room, the door opened showing a black outfitted lady with her hair tied in a high ponytail. When she looked up Alex was stunned to see that it was non other than, Shan.

"Sorry I'm late. Shall we begin?" Shan asked formally as if she and Alex was going to do a whole taekwondo fight.

Robert stood up and decided to be the referee.

Alex just looked at Shan who was wearing a professional look. Could she really be that good?

"Of course." Alex answered. Robert then dropped his hand from between them to signal them to start.

In a blink of an eye Shan was already behind him. Alex then felt like he is in a movie and then with fast reflexes he blocked Shan's incoming balled fist that was about to punch him from behind.

Little did Alex know that Shan was already expecting that. Shan then quickly changed her attack and dove down to avoid the attack. Instead of moving away she then kicked him by the side of his stomach before jumping out of the way in case Alex takes revenge.

Alex groaned roughly and held the side of his stomach.

"Better keep up." Shan challenged with a wave of her high-tied ponytail.

Alex glared at her. Not because of anger. But only, amusement. He didn't really expect her to have such fighting skills.

"I didn't know you fight." Alex said with a hoarse voice before straightening back up.

Shan gave no response, instead, she just shrugged and without hesitation, Shan began to charge at Alex.

Alex didn't budge. He now knows that whatever he might do, especially since he was holding back, she will dodge it. He then thought there was no other reason to hold back.
