After our meetings, sabay na kami ni Gabby umuwi ng Laguna to stay there for a week muna to take care of Mama Chay. Today is also an extra special day as today, I'm planning on proposing. I know that Gabby agreed to marry me because of her grandma's wish and we're now engaged without a proper proposal yesterday. I honestly couldn't sleep because of that. Every time I think about my proposal for Gabby, I always picture her this image where the garden is filled with flowers and petals lying on the ground, yellow lights on trees and us surrounded by our families. I'll get on one knee and that's when I'll ask the magic four words 'Will You Marry Me?'. I've always pictured Gabby's expression— her eyes filled with tears, and big smile on her face. Kaya naman I'm so excited to propose properly later. I wanna make that dream come true.

Pagkarating namin sa Laguna, pumunta agad siya straightly sa room nila Mama Chay to spend time with her and para alagaan na rin siya and I've decided to talk to her parents.

"Tito, Tita, gusto ko po sana kayo makausap." Pumunta kami sa garden where I imagined kung saan ako magpo-propose sa kanya. Malawak ang garden na ito and malapit sa beach kaya naman makikita mo ang napakagandang sunset.

"I know biglaan po ang marriage namin ni Gabby but I still wanna ask for your permissions po." They both smiled at me.

"I promise to love and to take care of your daughter for the rest of my life. I promise to cherish her and will never give her a hard time. I will make her happy for as long as I could and hinding-hindi po siya makakaranas nang hirap. I know po na nag-aalala pa rin kayo sa kanya because she's your unica hija and hindi po iyon mawawala sa isang magulang. But I will do everything just to make her happy and give her a comfortable life forever." Gabby's dad tapped my shoulders. Her mom hugged me while tearing up.

"We always knew that you and Gabby would end up together and naka-ready na kaming dalawa ng tita mo dahil alam namin na soon, mangyayari at mangyayari to." Tito.

"Life has waves. Minsan mahirap, minsan madali, pero we hope na malampasan niyo lahat yon together." Tita.

"I know this is also about stability dahil parehas kayong laki sa maayos at komportableng buhay. And I know na hindi niyo mararanasang maghirap, pero we wanna tell you na whatever the future holds, basta't magkasama kayo, harapin at lutasin niyo." Tita added.

"We only wanna hear you say, you'll make our daughter happy and we're okay." Tito said. Nagmano naman ako sa kanila. I finally got their approval! Maaaring dahil na rin ito ang gusto ni Mama Chay pero I hope, this marriage is more than that. I hope na kaya sila pumapayag na pakasalan ko ang anak nila ay dahil nga sa gusto nila ako para kay Gabby.

Gabriella

Nakita ko kung ang ngiti ni Matthew while talking to my parents. At alam kong kinausap niya sila Mommy dahil ano't-ano man ang mangyari, magpapakasal na kami ni Matthew dahil yon ang last wish ng lola ko. I can't help but to smile too. I'm happy na boto ang family ko kay Matthew. Noon pa man tinatanong na ako ng parents ko kung kelan kami magpapakasal. Ilang taon na rin kasi kaming nagli-live in ni Matthew. I am also well aware na one year pa lang kami, gusto na niya magpropose. My smile faded. Naalala ko nanaman ang reason ko why I we have to wait for a while before getting married. I love Matthew pero marami akong iniisip pa.

"Matthew is loved by everyone in this family." Napatingin ako sa nagsalita and it's Mama Chay. Inalalayan ko siyang umupo dito sa may terrace.

"Alam mo, nakikita ko ang Papu mo kay Matthew." Umupo na rin ako.

"Your Papu is a very stable and family-oriented man. He's a family guy and within 2 months of dating, he proposed to me." Napatingin naman ako agad kay Mama. 2 months?!
