Alastors pov
I headed inside expecting to be greeted by that sweet little girl. To my surprise Lucifer morningstar was also there sipping a coffee.
"Oh alastor I forgot to text you, it's actually my day off" he gave me an embarrassed smile.
"Oh I know you should come with us!" Charlie wrapped her arms around me "We're going to the park. We should all go together"
"Oh I don't know sweetie. I wouldn't want to get in the way of your daddy daughter day"
"We don't mind, do we daddy" she turned to her father expectingly.
"Of course not, your practically family" he smiled softly.
"Well how could I say no to such a charming request" I smiled at her.
"Yay!" She cheered as she ran upstairs "I'll go get my Sunday dress on!"
"And I'll get alastor a nicer suit" Lucifer tugged my tie playfully.
"Are you sure you have anything in my size" I said teasingly.
"Hey less of the cheek. I'm still the one that writes your checks" he tried to sound angry but couldn't hide his smile.
"Of course Mr morningstar. Just make sure it's red" I smiled back as he led me upstairs.
*Time skip*
"Lalalala" Charlie held our hands and swung happily. The two of us smiled at the little girls pure bliss. If anyone saw us they'd probably think we were a happy family. Little do they know I'm not a family man. Never have been never will be.
"Wow look!" Charlie pointed over to a deer in the distance. I gestured for the morningstars to get down. The two quickly followed suit.
The deer moved closer to us, not noticing us in the distance. On closer inspection we could see another deer and a little fawn by its side.
"They're a little family" Charlie gasped.
"That's right princess" Lucifer held his daughter close "they're a family just like us"
I felt my chest tighten. Get it together alastor. He's just talking about him and Charlie. He's not thinking about you at all.
