Alastors pov

"And that was easy living by billi holiday, such a doll she is and what a voice too. Well that's all we have time for today. Farewell my lovely listeners, until next time!"

I shut off the mic with a sigh. What a long day. My throat's feeling particularly parched from all the talking. Still mother always says that your never truly working if you're in a job you love and I do love this job. I love it almost as much as my other job.

"Another great show alastor" my co worker's said as I exited the booth. All women of course. I could never stand to work with a man and the poor dears are never giving the chance to show off their true talents.

"Thank you my dears but I couldn't have done it without your behind the scenes support" I bowed deeply before strutting off. Yes I truly love this job. You see mother, I made it just like I said I would-

"Well if it isn't alastor" my smile twitched slightly. I knew that irritating voice anywhere.

"Vox my good man, what brings you to my humble station" I said through gritted teeth.

"I just thought I'd personally send you a little update" he handed me a newspaper. My face fell. The front cover read is radio dead? Workers income cut in half!

"Such a shame isn't it. Seems video killed the radio star" he struggled to hold in his laugher. I glared daggers at him. Oh the things I want to do to this man. I could hear worried whispers behind me. I have to keep my composure.

"Thanks for the update old pal but I'm not one to believe baseless rumours" I chucked the paper in the bin "I'm a little smarter than that unlike some people"

"Why you-"

"Now I must be going. I have a pot of jambalaya calling my name" with that I sidestepped him and left. Once I was out of sight my fists shook with rage.

"I need to blow off some steam"
