Alastors pov
"Shopping trip shopping trip" Charlie hummed as she pushed the toy cart. It wouldn't carry much but Lucifer wanted her to feel included.
"Hmm" Lucifer scanned the shopping list "you have everything?"
"Just about Mr morningstar" I nodded as I put some vegetables in the cart.
"When are you going to start calling me Lucifer? You've been in this family for almost a month" he shook his head.
"Now mr morningstar it wouldn't be proper for me to use your first name" I said politely.
"Pss who cares about being proper. Shouldn't it be more important that we're treated like equals" I chuckled as his response "hey what's so funny" he pouted.
"Nothing. You just have a very naive idea of how the world works" I booped his nose.
"Whatever, just go find some bread sticks for tonight" he shooed me away, clearly annoyed by my jest.
"Very well" I nodded as I strolled over to the bread section. I was just about to pick up the bread sticks when-
"Well if it isn't alastor" my eyebrow twitched at that annoying voice. I turned around to see the equally annoying face of vox "out shopping like the common riffraff I see. Oh how the mighty have fallen" he laughed in my face. I gritted my teeth at the sound of his mocking. What I would give to wipe that smirk off his face-
"Al there you are, we've been waiting forever!" Lucifer stopped when he noticed vox "what's the matter? Is this guy giving you trouble?" He glared at him.
"Lucifer morningstar" vox muttered in disbelief. I smirked. I know just how to get under his skin.
"No need to worry Lucifer dear" I took his hand with a loving smile "he's no one important"
"Oh ok then" he said with a slight blush "well me and Charlie were thinking of having brunch at a cafe run with my cousin Ozzy. Would you like to join us?"
"It would be a pleasure" I kissed his hand, making sure vox took in every second of it.
Lucifer's eyes widened at my action but didn't dwell on it too long as he led me away, leaving a stunned vox behind...
