COLBY

It was just like any other night. Me, Corey, Aaron and Jake were watching TV, Sam doing whatever. He'd seemed off all day though. He hadn't eaten anything all day and he hasn't really left his room come to think of it.
"Has anyone really seen Sam today?" I ask.
"No, I've seen him going in and out of the bathroom but that's it" Corey replies, still focused on the TV. I then heard the faint creaks of the steps, as if someone was coming downstairs. It was Sam believe it of not. He looked pale from what I could see, and he had large bags under his eyes, which were dropping. His movements were slow and he looked rough.
"Sam you okay?" I ask him, standing up and walking towards him. He nods silently before walking into the kitchen to grab a drink. He takes out some medicine and swallows it with the water before going to head back upstairs.
"Sam? Are you feeling okay?" I repeat the question differently, stopping him at the bottom of the stairs. He turns around but doesn't respond. His movements were even slower then before and his eyes looked so weak. "Sam?" suddenly, his eyes roll back into his head and he collapses towards the hard wooden floor.
"Sam!" I shout, going to grab his head so it wouldn't hit the floor. I managed to cushion his landing as the rest of the boys come rushing in.
"Is he okay?" Jake asked, rushing to my side.
"I-I don't know" I was panicking, holding my best friend in my arms. His eyes began to roll underneath his eyelids and he tried to sit up.
"Sam, lie down" Corey says to him, pushing him back down lightly.
"N-no I'm fine" he smiles weakly, trying to sir up again.
"Sam please" I beg, wanting him to be okay. He finally gave up, feeling so weak. "Have you eaten anything today?" I ask him softly.
"Mmm" he hummed, shaking his head. Corey went to grab a sandwich for him as I slowly sat him up. I sat him more on my lap as he leaned his head on my chest.
I ran my fingers through his hair as he ate his sandwich, holding him close with my other arm.
"C-colby" he says weakly.
"Sam?" I reply, looking down at him. His lips had no colour whatsoever.
"I don't feel so good..." he groans. Beads of sweat were dripping down his face and his skin was boiling. I carried him bridal style to the bathroom, only just making it to the toilet before he started to violently throw up everything he just ate.
"Oh god-" he whimpers before continuing to vomit. I rubbed comforting circles on his lower back as he groaned at the acid coming up and out of his mouth. Jake came in with a glass of water and handed it to me as Sam finished emptying his stomach. I handed him the water, which he drank in slow sips before handing it back to me and laying on the cold tiles of the bathroom floor.
"Sammy, we have to get you to bed" I say, running my fingers through his sweaty hair.
"Hmm" he groaned.
"Sam?" I say, shaking him lightly. He had fallen asleep. I picked him up and carried him to my bed so I could keep an eye on him. I went to get medicine and more water for when he wakes up, placing it on the bedside. I climbed into bed beside him, keeping a safe distance that wouldn't make him too hot, despite the urge to cuddle up beside him.
"T-Thank you Colbs" he whispers, his eyes still closed.
"Anytime Sammy" I responded, kissing his warm head softly before letting sleep take over me.
