y/n was so nervous about her date with kirishima that she had barely spoken all day.

the only time she 'spoke' was to let kirishima know that she was on her way to the plaza. when she was about 10 minutes away, kirishima told her that he would be waiting on a park bench for her.

when y/n arrived at the park, part of her wanted to go back home. it was dumb, honestly. she knew she had no reason to be nervous, but she still was.

as she calmed herself down, she looked around the park, spotting kirishima on a bench on the opposite end of the park. y/n took a deep breath and moved forward.

'i see you,' y/n watched as kirishima jumped and began frantically looking around, which caused her to laugh.

"it's you!" kirishima heard y/n laughing and turned around, smiling as wide as he could.

"yeah, it's me," y/n smiled softly as she made her way in front of the bench he was sitting on. kirishima stood up and pulled y/n into a hug.

"oh shit," kirishima let go and took a step back. "i'm sorry, i should've asked first."

"it's okay," y/n smiled again, pulling him back into a hug. "you don't have to."

kirishima pulled away from the hug and began examining every inch of her face.

"you're so-"

"manly?" y/n laughed at her own joke.

"beautiful," the only thing in kirishima's eyes was admiration.

"says you," y/n blushed as she grabbed his face, turning him to one side. "you look even better in person! i didn't even know that was possible."

kirishima chuckled as he gently took y/n's hand off of his face.

"how about i buy you ice cream," kirishima offered his hand to y/n, which she took.

"i'd love that!"

and so, the two walked to the ice cream shop, hand in hand (no fingers were intertwined, both of them were too scared about it being too soon for that. though, what even is too soon for someone you were meant to spend the rest of your life with?)

once the two of them got ice cream, y/n got her favorite flavor while kirishima got rocky road, they found yet another bench to sit on. the two talked about their respective schools, kirishima had the most to say about this subject. y/n's school just didn't compare in that regard.

"you think we should exchange numbers?" kirishima asked as he took another bite of his ice cream.

"huh, i never thought about that." y/n had already finished her ice cream, she was just waiting on kirishima now. "i mean, we don't really need to, but i don't mind."

kirishima nodded as he took out his phone and went to his contacts app. he handed his phone to y/n and by the time he finished eating his ice cream, she was done putting in her number.

he looked down at the contact name and smiled.

'mrs. riot <3'

y/n gave kirishima her phone to do the same, he eagerly typed 'mr. riot <3' into her phone and handed it back.

the two went back to talking about anything and everything until the sun started to set.

"i told my mom i'd be back before it fully got dark," y/n said as she stood up.

"oh okay, i can walk you to your bus stop if you don't mind?"

"i wouldn't mind at all," y/n smiled as she offered kirishima her hand.

y/n was worried that she would make him wait long for the bus to come, but thankfully it had been pulling up by the time they made it to the stop.

"thank you for today, kirishima."

"call me eijiro," kirishima said as he kissed her temple. "i'll see you soon, i hope?"

"yeah, you will," y/n squeezed his hand before going on the bus, blushing faintly as she walked past people towards an empty seat.
