All of this.

Goes back exactly 5 hours.

Ji Hwa Sung, who was diligently distributing parts in his own way, confidently spoke, raising his glasses.

“I think this should be okay. Shall we all take a look together?”

There were two reasons why Ji Hwa Sung took on the role of leader.

First,

He didn’t want to be put at a disadvantage by those unfamiliar and inexperienced.

Ji Hwa Sung took great pride in being a pure-blooded trainee from the AG.

Well, being confidently accepted through a public audition at the young age of 12 and reaching this point, it wasn’t an unreasonable sense of pride.

Second,

He believed that there was no one else in the team who could carry it other than himself.

His fiery eyes swept over the members checking their parts, burning with intensity.

“Gao Yan, this is good. I’m better at rapping than singing. Gao Yan, you’re on rap duty.”

“Good. I like that too. Can I practice it first? Ah, ah, hmm.”

Strange but kind foreigners. However, foreigners were not as enthusiastic in the first place.

“Oh, you gave me more than I thought? Thanks, Hwa Sung.”

“…Hmmm.”

Ranked 13th and 11th.

Seo Bin, ranked 13th, had a lot of experience as a trainee in another agency for a long time.

However, there was a bit of a problem since his individual abilities were too focused on vocals and lacked confidence.

Opportunist Kim Joo An, needless to say.

Ji Hwa Sung glanced at Kim Joo An, who was biting his lips and looking down, while secretly sticking out his lips at the camera.

No intention to work hard, no awareness of the camera.

‘He’s just clinging to Jae Ha hyung and just suck up ratings, seriously he’s the f*cking worst.’

And…

Over there, checking the dance video with a shrug of the shoulders, Kim Chunyong, ranked 6th.

In fact, Ji Hwa Sung almost had his eyes pop out when he first saw Kim Chunyong’s score.

Not an exaggeration, but for real.

[Kim Chunyong]

Min Siyoung: 0 points

Na Jihyuk: 95 points

Moon Yunha: 90 points

Jin Dasol: 100 points

[Total: 285 points (6th place)]

Scores where 0 points and 100 points coexist, difficult to achieve even if deliberately aiming for it and performing for it.

Nevertheless, Kim Chunyong himself had many charming elements.

Despite the extreme arrogance, he had a handsome face and outstanding dancing skills that made Jin Dasol offer him a spot in his crew.

“Oh, is it too tacky? My grandmother made it for me.”

Boldness that didn’t seem nervous in front of mentors.

However, from Ji Hwa Sung’s perspective, no.

From the perspective of most trainees, Kim Chunyong was nothing short of a time bomb.

Everyone present remembers it.

Min Si Young’s sharp judgment, the gaze of disapproval toward Kim Chunyong. The way she glared at Jin Dasol who declared that he would give high scores to Kim Chunyong.

There was someone else who caught attention. A trainee caught by the same agency Min Si Young seonbae?

“He’s just a commodity, he’s just a commodity. So, that’s why he wasn’t picked by Jae Ha hyung and Liu Wei.”

Ji Hwa Sung stared at him quietly and shook his head.

So, the conclusion was that there was no suitable person in this team other than Ji Hwa Sung.

“I have to do it. Whether I stand out alone or lead these losers, I have to be the center.”

With that thought in mind, Ji Hwa Sung stood up and shouted loudly.

“Now, before we go to the recording studio, how about practicing the choreography? I can teach the choreo….”

“Just a moment. I have something to say.”

A person who’s voice Ji Hwa Sung didn’t particularly want to hear grabbed his ankle.

Suppressing the veins about to pop on his forehead, Ji Hwa Sung responded with a bright voice.

“Haha, Joo An. Why?”

“Why, Kim Chun, no, um… can you just give the Dance Break Center to someone without even competing?”

Finally realizing the necessity of image management in front of the camera, Kim Joo An quickly corrected his words and smiled brightly.

However, his eyes, boiling with jealousy and anger.

“Kim Chunyong, if he can do that, then I can do it too!”

“The Dance Break Center is a highly noticed position, right? Aren’t you guys ambitious at all? This is a survival program.”

“But you haven’t said a word about the parts until now, and now that everything is decided, you want to pick a fight? Are you kidding?”

T/N: In this chapter, Ji Hwa Sung refers to Kim Joo An as ‘hyung’ but their ages aren’t too clear this far in the novel, since in earlier chapters, Joo An called Hwa Sung ‘hyung.’ I decided to remove the ‘hyung’ because so far, it seems like Hwa Sung is older. I’ll give an update later on once it’s sorted out (^_^)/
