Hiya! I'm Jamie but everyone calls me avocado. I run the @Freethelgbt profile and the Rainbow Bookclub community and I'm your host for these awards. I also run a queer writing server on discord along with five other mods. More info on that in the next chapter!
Anyway, a little bit about me! I am utterly obsessed with My Chemical Romance. I make way too many Spotify playlists for all my books. I'm not-so-secretly a vampire, but don't worry I only drink choccy milk! I'm also a big sucker for queer romance, and last year I won a Watty for a romantic comedy I wrote. But most importantly, I can't wait to read all your amazing stories!
I started this community a couple years ago (on my personal profile before I moved to the Freethelgbt page this year) because I wanted to create a safe, inclusive space where queer voices are heard and recognized. I'm glad to say I have met so many amazing authors who have become some of my closest friends, and I am very much looking forward to getting to know all of you participating in The Pride Awards 2024. 🌈❤️

Hello, I'm Lisa! I write fluffy stuff for fun and technical stuff for work. I binge any competitive reality show I come across (people competing in pottery? Lego building? Glass blowing? I will watch it). I love solving puzzles and playing video games—though I'm impressively bad at the latter! I take long walks while listening to true crime podcasts (and pet any cat I encounter on my way).
Somehow, my stories always seem to feature unexpected romantic couplings and funny animal encounters, regardless of if I write lore-heavy fanfiction, crazy pirate romps, or sweet teenage romance. I was the grand winner of last year's Pride Awards so I'm very excited to be participating as a judge this year!

Book: A Failure of a High Elf
Heyooo, I'm Coda. Writer of all things fantasy. Dragons and slow burns tend to show up quite often in my stories. I've been a writer since I was but a wee, though I only started actively training my craft within the past four to six years.
I help as a mod for Avo's queer writing server, where I have my own writer's corner to ramble about whatever I like. I'm also a part of the Rainbow Bookclub, as well as the Phoenix Guild Bookclub. I help out these two and the Fireflies Bookclub with different mod work.
Mostly, I'm a huge reader. I devour classic shoujo manga, spicy BL webtoons, cultivation danmei, and more. In real life, I am a librarian assistant who drives a green mobile library bus around my city.
The most important things to me are my four fur babies. They are as follows: Bestest Boy, Alpha Lioness, Eternal Baby, and Sprightly Young Lad. Nice to meet ya. 💪🏽

Howdy! I'm Sandy, and I write a little bit of everything from middle grade fantasy to horror stories for adults. My mxm paranormal romance story The Taste of Home shortlisted for the Wattys in 2023, and I have also won Ambys for two of my middle grade fantasy stories, Quit Bugging Me and Reindeer James.
I created the @TripleACommunity in 2023 to celebrate authors and characters on the aromantic and asexual spectrums. I'm demiromantic and asexual, so after craving our own little corner on Wattpad, I went ahead and created one myself! You can also find me in the lovely Rainbow Bookclub and in several of the Dreamland Community's bookclubs.
When I'm not busy writing or scaring club admins to death with my tendency to binge read, you can usually find me trying out new recipes or spoiling my cat, Reyna. I can hardly wait to read everyone's stories!

Hello! Pixelmum here! I'm a multi-genre writer so my books span science fiction, action, thrillers and mystery, and always feature diverse characters getting things done (with big worldbuilding, big plot twists and big queer panic).
I love being in the Rainbow Bookclub where I can read amazing books in a chill safe space (and the reading requirements are basic AF for a busy writer like me)!
I also love animals, especially the gross ones that everyone else hates like wasps and children.
