The first round of this contest accepts unlimited participants so tell your communities to join in!
The contest consists of three rounds:
Round One - Qualifiers
Judges will read the blurb and first chapter (or prologue), and will score books according to hook and technical aspects. All entries reaching the minimum score will qualify.
Round Two - Category Winners
Judges will read the first three chapters and will score books according to the rubric in the next chapter of this book. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be announced for each category.
Round Three - Grand Winner
All Judges will read the first five chapters of all 1st place winners from Round Two, and score them. The highest mean score from all categories will be dubbed the Grand Winner of 2024 Pride Awards.
Timeline
17th May - Forms open.
7th June - Forms close and judging begins.
21st June - Round One qualifiers are announced.
19th July - Three winners for each category are announced.
9th August - Grand winner is announced.
