An exciting introduction to the afterlife with plenty of intrigue and mystery. The action scenes are consistently exciting, and the introduction of Skye's boyfriend drives home the intense sense of loss both feel because of her death.

A solid set up for a paranormal romance story with a clearly defined emotional core. The well-established parallels between the two couples set a strong foundation for the romance plot, with the promise of many emotional (and steamy) moments ahead.
