"JAMES! STOP!" I tried to push him off of me, but he didn't budge. "JAMES! Really!"
I tried to push him off of me but that didn't work. I looked over at the house and saw Gabriel and Uriel jogging towards us. They slowed down and Gabriel said, while smirking, "Do you need some help?"
"Nope, I got it under control." The guys laughed. Suddenly, James got off of me, attacking Gabriel. he yelled as he got tackled.
"James!" Gabriel glared at me as if it was my fault. I shrugged smiling.
Just then, James ears perked up and he bared his teeth while staring at the woods by the house. He got off of the confused angel and came to crouch in front of me. He growled. I put a hand on his tense back. The boys and I shared a glance. We turned our attention to James, who had gone into his human form.
"Angels, get your blades out. Arianna, think of an angelic weapon and one should appear in your hand. I smell Reapers."
I nodded and an spear like weapon turned up in my hand in a flash. Double ended, with a purple glow, writing on the shaft, and light-weight. It was long and thin. I loved it.
The boys came to stand next to me. Both had their blades in their hands. Uriel's were blue, while Gabriel's were green. They reflected off of their eyes.
Finally, we saw the Reapers. Tall, cloaked, and cold, these guys were the definition of Death. The Scythes in their hand were long and black. The three Reapers made you fear everything, just by standing there. I shivered, unwillingly.
I felt a breeze and looked at the angels. Both had their wings out.
"Arianna Grace O'Conner. You will meet your maker." They even had the most chilling voices.
The Reapers went straight for me but didn't get far. Gabriel and Uriel pushed them back. One slipped through their defense and attacked me. I held up the spear and it struck low, causing me to gasp in pain. My stomach bled and I counted to ten before attacking again.
The marks on my arms glowed softly. The Reaper lashed out it's Scythe and I blocked it with the spear. It held the spear in place with one hand while it grabbed me with the other. It threw me up in the air, and used it's weapon as a bat.
I probably had a couple broken ribs from the impact. I hit the ocean without any time to draw my breath. I swam up to the surface as fast as I could and drew a long wanted breath when I got to the surface. I swam to the shore and grinned. This was unusually fun.
I ran at the Reaper and slid under the blade as it came towards me. I grabbed my discarded spear and rammed it at the thing. It met it with the Scythe and I jumped back.
I looked around and saw them. Gabriel and his Reaper had gone towards the house. Uriel and his friend went towards the woods. James looked at me with a helpless expression.
"James. Try the find the Fates." I yelled at him while dodging another hit.
He nodded and took off running. I turned my attention back to the Reaper. I swung my spear and it backed up quickly.
I turned and ran, knowing I couldn't beat this thing on my own. I looked over my shoulder and saw it close on my heels. I looked forward and picked up speed. I slid on the ground. The Reaper went over me and I got up and ran in the other direction. I saw the Fates out of the corner of my eye.
I turned and held up my spear. The Reaper swung the Scythe and it hit the spear, cutting it in half. "Shit." I mumbled, throwing the spear to the side. It disappeared.
I jumped back as the Scythe came towards me. The Reaper hood fell down and I was shocked at what I saw.
Black eyes stared at me. "I am guessing there's no need for the hood now is there? Hybrid." It smiled at me and swept it's platinum blonde hair out of it's face.
"No. There's not." I hissed and I threw some sand at it's eyes and it howled. I ripped the Scythe from it's hand and swung it. The Reaper or whatever it was, crumbled to the ground in a pile of ashes. I looked towards the angels and saw that Uriel had killed his as well. Gabriel was finishing his off.
My adrenaline started to disappear and I fell to the ground. I clutched my stomach and groaned in pain. The marks on my arms were bright.
I realized that the more pain I was in the brighter the marks were.
I closed my eyes while gritting my teeth in pain. When I open them, Destiny and Gabriel hovered over me with worried expressions.
"What's wrong with the cut?" Gabriel pulled my head to his lap and brushed my hair out of my face.
"When anything gets cut by a Scythe, it becomes poisoned." Destiny ripped the dress I was wearing to see the slash. Normally, I would enjoy getting my clothes ripped of by a guy, but right now, all I could think of was the pain.
Destiny applied some pressure to the wound and I screamed. Gabriel winced at the unworldly sound.
"Sorry, luv. If I don't apply pressure, you'll bleed out." Destiny apologized.
I shook my head. My marks sent a glow around me. "If I scream, just ignore me. Alright?"
"Yeah, I'll try." He applied more pressure and I whimpered.
Gabriel growled. "If she dies, Fate, I will murder you and your brothers."
Destiny smirked. "She won't die as long at she as those marks on her arms."
I tuned out the rest. I stared at the sky. My ears Rang.I saw Time and Death out of the corner of my eyes with two little girls. They stared at me with interest in their eyes. They walked over to me with their hand linked. I watched as their mouths moved but I didn't hear anything.
I saw Destiny nod. He and Gabriel moved away, though I could tell Gabriel hated having to. I looked between the two girls and watched as they placed their hands on the wound. My marks sizzled against my skin.
One of the girls had pure black eyes and platinum blonde hair. The other had pure blue eyes and coal hair. They held hands as they touched the wound.
Then, I felt the burning in the wound. The sound came rushing towards me. I screamed. It ripped through my throat. I felt the tears pooling, threating to fall. I let them, before blacking out.
